5 /5 Sandra Balido: Café La Parroquia in Laredo is an absolute gem. The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with authentic flavors that instantly transport you straight to Veracruz. Their bomba jarocha — a warm concha filled with beans and cheese — is out of this world. It’s unique, comforting, and absolutely delicious.
The antojitos, especially the sopes, are prepared with that true Mexican touch; every bite tastes homemade and full of tradition. Their seafood dishes also stand out, fresh and perfectly seasoned.
But the star of the show? The café lechero. They prepare it exactly the way it’s done in Puerto de Veracruz — same pour, same ritual, same incredible flavor. One sip and you’re transported right back to the malecón. It’s nostalgic, authentic, and worth the visit on its own.
Beautiful place, excellent service, and unforgettable flavors. Highly recommended.
