Hollywood Dave Housed in a beautifully remodeled historic U.S. Post Office, McAdoo’s Seafood Company is the go-to destination for outstanding seafood with a distinctive Cajun flair. The service is consistently excellent, and the food is always spot-on. Fresh oysters are flown in from coast to coast and served raw on the half shell or in the classic Rockefeller style. I’ve never had a disappointing entrée here—if you’re not too hungry, a couple of appetizers can easily make a satisfying meal. The Sunday brunch is a standout experience all its own. The build-your-own Bloody Mary bar is exceptional, offering a choice of several mixes and an impressive array of garnishes, including boiled shrimp and crisp bacon.

Muthu Raja Sankar Visited Kiran’s for the second time with colleagues and clients — it never disappoints. The food and service are always top-notch. The thali options for the main course are a great touch, though serving them on a traditional thali plate would make it even more convenient and authentic. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great flavors and presentation!

Terri Downey We stopped in and had a wonderful experience for happy hour. We had the fried ravioli which was fantastic. Our waiter brought out their marinara sauce and suggested a dollop on top to elevate the flavor and he was right, so good. I had the lemon drop martini and it was so fresh, a heavy pour and the glass was ice cold. My husband got the whiskey flight and was very pleased with the suggested options to try. The happy hour prices were awesome, especially in these times when everything is so pricey. We will definitely stop in for dinner next time we are in Galveston.

Yong Kwon 5 Stars – Exceptional Service, Delicious Food and Great Atmosphere! 06/08/2025 We were visiting from DTX and made a quick pit stop here for lunch, and we are so glad we did! Even though we didn’t have a reservation, the hostess kindly got us seated quickly during a very busy lunch rush. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming and lively, but the real star of our visit was our waitress, Lauren. Lauren was phenomenal from start to finish. The moment we sat down, she noticed our table was slightly wobbly and immediately fixed it with a towel without us even saying a word. That small gesture set the tone for what turned out to be the best service weve ever received in our lives. Weve dined at high-end, top-tier restaurants from coast to coast, and Lauren’s attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care blew every single one of them out of the water. She truly went above and beyond. In our opinion, she’s the kind of talent that belongs in a management/GM position. If youre looking for a spot with fantastic food and next-level service, this place is a must and if youre lucky enough to be seated in Lauren’s section, you’re in for a real treat! Jonathan Murphy Visiting Josephine House to start the new year has become a tradition of ours. Generally speaking, I like it. The staff are usually great and the space is nice. I think the portion sizes might be on the smaller side given the cost of each dish. Their bakery items are great but will run out. It’s a popular place but the location doesn’t support easy parking near by so plan to have a walk over to the restaurant.

S L-R I came here while I was out of town visiting Lubbock. I like searching for new American or chef to table type restaurants. The West Table did not disappoint. I had the quail and brussels sprout appetizer, the beet and goat cheese salad, the pork chops, and in my mind, I had the crème brûlée, but I actually didn’t have enough space to fit that in, so I didn’t actually try it. I actually liked it all so much that I asked to ChatGPT “ are there any restaurants like West Table in Denver?” If I had ordered the same meal in Denver, it would’ve been half the size and twice the cost. They say that everything is bigger in Texas, but I’m telling you that the portion size here was huge for this type of restaurant. I could barely eat it all. It was crazy. And crazy delicious. I think that the prices were quite reasonable for what they were offering. I don’t know if you’ve ever cooked quail, beet salad and pork chops from scratch but 20 minutes to wait is really not that big of a deal. Everything came out with perfect timing steaming hot. It probably would’ve taken me like an hour and a half to try to cook all those things plus I would’ve had to cook them so that in itself would be problematic IMO. They also really very graciously accommodated my requests for gluten-free and if there were certain dishes that would be challenging to accommodate… since they make it from scratch they were willing to try to “improv” the dish or they offered a better suggestion which I appreciated. As others have said, the restaurant is loud. It’s not exactly an intimate quiet setting. But whatevs. My only regrets were: - Not having enough room for the crème brûlée in my stomach -Not having enough money to try all of the nonalcoholic mocktails - not drinking alcohol because I really would’ve liked to try the unemployed astronaut I’m not saying it was cheap. I spent $100 on just me. I’m not sure how I’m gonna know how I’m gonna justify that as a business expense. Probably gonna tell my boss that it was my birthday present. The only thing I think that West Table could do better would be offering “à la cart service” - meaning- can you please wheel me out to my car in a cart after eating all that food?
