McAdoos Seafood Company - (Near New Braunfels, TX)

Living_Life My husband and I took a quick weekend trip to Fredericksburg for our 36th anniversary and were lucky enough to snag outdoor seating at Cabernet Grill. We couldn’t get reservations because the trip was so spontaneous, but their outdoor option worked out perfectly. From the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful—my husband even got to meet the chef and owner, who couldn’t have been kinder. We’re already talking about staying on-site next time! Our server, Christopher, was fantastic and guided us through their Texas-only wine list. We weren’t familiar with many of the labels, but the full-bodied blend he recommended was spot-on. I’m glad we had a bottle! We are buying more for later consumption. We decided to sample several dishes, and I’m so glad we did. The Chicken Fried Deviled Eggs were a total treat—the hot honey gave the perfect punch. The Texas Twinkies were stuffed generously with delicious beer sausage, and the Bragging Rights Biscuits lived up to their name—so tender they practically melted in our mouths. They even brought out complimentary shots of the Roasted Carrot and Ancho Chile Soup, and WOW—absolutely incredible. The flavor and texture were so perfect that I would have taken some to go if our travel schedule allowed. I will return just for that soup. Next came the salads. The Steak Knife Wedge Salad was crisp, chilled, and huge—more than I could finish. My husband ordered the Wild Organic Arugula Salad, and I’m kicking myself for not trying it. He’s normally not an arugula or beet fan, yet he couldn’t stop raving about how good it was. He finished every bite. Our main reason for choosing Cabernet Grill was the Lobster-Topped Chicken Fried Ribeye, and it absolutely delivered. We shared it - photo is 1/3 of the portion! (our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs!) and every bite was incredible—tender lobster over a perfectly seasoned, crunchy, moist chicken fried steak. If you go, read the backstory on this dish—it makes the experience even better. And even though we were stuffed, I had to get dessert. The Gooey Chocolate Cherry “Spice” Cake came home with me, and I enjoyed it later at our Airbnb. Rich, gooey, a little spicy—it was perfect. 100/10—an absolute must-visit. Bring an appetite, because you’ll want to try everything. We can’t wait to go back!

ma echeverria Our server Taylor, was fabulous. She was very attentive, knew the menu, she was suggestive on things that we asked for. Came by our table many a time! This was our first time at Bogeda, great experience! Food: the New York steak with the herb butter and crispy fries were excellent! I was able to cut the meat with a butter knife. Afterwards, we sat outside, finished our wine…it was an experience. I think y’all will enjoy it.

Terri Downey We stopped in and had a wonderful experience for happy hour. We had the fried ravioli which was fantastic. Our waiter brought out their marinara sauce and suggested a dollop on top to elevate the flavor and he was right, so good. I had the lemon drop martini and it was so fresh, a heavy pour and the glass was ice cold. My husband got the whiskey flight and was very pleased with the suggested options to try. The happy hour prices were awesome, especially in these times when everything is so pricey. We will definitely stop in for dinner next time we are in Galveston.

CharylLynn Sinner-Mathews My husband and I went to Landrys for Our 4th Anniversary Dinner. The Atmosphere was Absolutely Warm and Romantic. Our Waiter was Wonderful, very sweet and helpful. The Food was delicious and exquisite!!! I was pleasantly surprised and impressed at the large portions and couldn’t finish and opted for a Togo box after my husband and I gave it our best effort to because the food was so good, I’m a bit embarrassed to say that we definitely tried to eat every bite. We were Surprised with a Delicious Anniversary Dessert that was more than Satisfying and a great way to end the Perfect meal! We were treated like Royalty, catered to like we were Kings and Queens. We will Definitely recommend Landrys and look forward to dining there again soon.

Amber Mofford had an amazing experience thanks to our server, Tera. From the very beginning, he was attentive, genuine, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He took the time to adjust recommendations to our palate while still staying true to what the kitchen offers, which made every dish even more enjoyable. What really stood out was how kind and family-oriented he was with us. He made everyone feel comfortable and welcomed, and his warmth truly elevated our entire dining experience. Tera went above and beyond in every way—thoughtful, personable, and professional. He is the kind of server that makes you want to come back. Truly outstanding service.

SuzieQ Hidden GEM!! Fantastic experience start to finish! This place was very fairly priced for a white tablecloth fine dining experience. Servers were very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was exceptional; each dish was full of flavor. Entree portions were large enough to be shared between two people. The dusting of gold on the desert was a nice touch. Highly recommend and will be back.
