3 /5 Beth Butler: I had a couple of Lyft drivers tell me about this place. I decided I would come give it a try this afternoon. Unfortunately, this visit wasnt worth the hype. I initially sat down outside for a few minutes. I elected to relocate inside due to the A/C from the open window and the breeze. Pretty cool spot outside, even though the door says over 21 only and there were kids playing. Its the daytime so it didnt bother me.
I sat at the bar and waited for service. The daytime bartender saw me, continued to serve and interact with another patron, requested their payment, processed their payment and eventually made their way down three seats to ask me if I wanted something to drink. I ordered a beer and when she brought it back, she asked if I wanted to keep it open or close it. I asked if yall served food. She said yes, and had to go get a menu. I handed her the card to keep it open. I ordered food, then shift change occurred.
Food arrived and was set down next to an empty glass. The bartender didnt ask if I needed anything. The other bartender came by about a minute and a half later to ask if I wanted another beer. Yes, please.
Sliders were dry and cold. While I know they are smashburgers, they arent supposed to be so dry and cold.
I had two (2) empty glasses and the 2nd night bartender - the same one who delivered my food - asked the couple a few seats down if they needed anything, but didnt even glance my direction.
I went the bathroom and returned to my seat.
I ordered one more round and asked for the check. The 2nd night bartender happened to check on the people a few seats down again. I caught her eye, and you could see the irritation of being disturbed. She reluctantly came down to ask if I needed anything. I asked for the check again.
While I left a decent tip due to the holidays, I wouldnt typically have left that after the service received. It is the holidays though.
Pros: multiple TVs, beer and a pretty cool outdoor seating area; Perception: great service if youre a local and / or a guy
Cons: slow service, dry & cold food; If youre not a local or are a girl coming in solo, dont expect 4⭐️ service from many of the bartenders
