Lubys - (Near Baytown, TX)

5 /5 Casa de Salazar: We were visiting a family member at the hospital, so we walked across the street to Lubys for lunch. Its been a while since Ive visited any of these, but I knew they would have a large selection to choose from. I had the turkey leg with gravy, and Sherry Ann had the salmon. I also had some fried chicken, and I know thats a lot of food, but I was pretty hungry. I got the beans and cabbage as my sides, along with a jalapeno corn bread muffin and a pistachio pudding. The chicken was by far the best thing. Im so glad I decided to go big and add this to my meal. The turkey leg was a bit cold, and Im sure they would have warmed it up for me, but I was too hungry to care. I ate everything I had ordered. Sherry said her salmon was dry and ate half of it, I ate the rest and it was a bit overcooked but thats only because when I cook this at home I cook it to medium, or medium well. If it was on a salad or with sauce, it would have been fine. I know that this kind of place is trying to make sure that all the food is cooked completely through, so its not a surprise to me. I thought all the food was great, the service was spot on, and I would go back to this location again. The choices all looked great from the line, I could have gone so many different ways with my food choices, and thats why I decided to leave a review. That fried chicken though, was great, and Im a fan of good fried chicken.

5 /5 Marie Esbrandt: Out of all the Lubys Kingwood Conroe everywhere The Luby’s in Baytown is the greatest. The new management is awesome.the newest manager over the top I drove all the way to from Cleveland, Texas to Baytown, Texas to eat at that Luby’s. You want the best chicken mushroom Madera and the best people Isabel a server is so awesome so sweet and so kind she’s been there forever she’s God sent The new manager or should I say district manager has turned it around the food is so awesome. He’s great. The employees are great. I go all the way from Cleveland. My sister comes from Kemah and another one will come from Beaumont just to go eat at the Baytown movies. Great teamwork there.

5 /5 Kristin Waldron: We ordered a deep fried turkey, gravy, and mashed potatoes for a take out meal for Thanksgiving at home. It was moist, delicious, and so easy. Thank you so much Luby’s for making our Thanksgiving dinner wonderful and memorable!!

2 /5 Mari: The staff is friendly. However, I stopped by the day before to ask if they would serve turkey or ham the next day. The attending staff asked their manager and he said they would. So I took my family the next day only to be told they didn’t have turkey or ham. We stayed to eat anyways, only to be disappointed. The fried catfish was cold and the bread wasn’t that great.

3 /5 Simone Ci: Vegetable choice was limited, and food appearance wasnt inviting. Fried zucchini was salty, and back-eye peas were poorly cooked. Location is older and could use updated decor.
