Agathe M I went for brunch and genuinely enjoyed both the food and the drinks: everything was flavorful, well-presented, and served at just the right pace. The atmosphere was such a standout too. I visited around Halloween, and the décor was absolutely on point: fun, creative, and really added to the whole experience. I’m already looking forward to going back during the holiday season to see how they transform the place because if it’s anything like their Halloween setup, it’s going to be amazing. Overall, I highly recommend Mamajuana to anyone looking for a great brunch spot in downtown Houston: delicious food, great vibes, and a super welcoming ambiance.

Today January 1, as we are heading back to McAllen and are charging our Tesla, we decided to come inside and eat. My young girls loved it- cub pancake and chicken tenders, fresh fruit. Husband and I had pot roast - yummy! Also the service was great , our server Anayeli was very welcoming and helpful . Toddler needed to use the restroom (as usual lol) for a mom who hates to go to public restrooms , the restroom was very clean. Definitely giving this restaurant in Harlingen a 5 star. It gave me a vibe of what Cracker Barrel used to be, clean, fresh home made meals , and not chaotic .

The food tastes amazing and has tons of character... the fluffiest pancakes, hand pressed juicy burgers and home made style fries that made me feel like a kid at Nanas house. Service is friendly and welcoming. The wife was craving a BLT that was not on the menu but they whipped it up for her and it was delicious.

Everything—from the to-go bags to the bathrooms—is decked out in the cutest, most Instagrammable pink. I popped in for a quick break and ended up loving every second of it. The taro almond milk latte? Absolutely delicious. The fruit bowl was fresh and vibrant, and the beet hummus toast was a total flavor bomb—I might dream about it tonight. The whole place just radiates good vibes—everyone was all smiles, the staff and customers alike. They play fun, upbeat 1950s diner music, and I couldn’t help but notice people subtly moving to the beat while chatting or taking photos (and yes, there are so many photo op spots). The owner is an absolute sweetheart and total vibe, which makes the whole experience even more delightful.
