2 /5 Valente Arroyo: For starters, the venue is top-tier, and the atmosphere is impressive—especially for being the first of its kind here in Laredo. It truly has the potential for a fine-dining experience, but unfortunately, the food and service fell short.
Our server greeted us quickly, but the attentiveness expected in a fine-dining setting was missing, leaving both my wife and me feeling somewhat overlooked. The food and drinks also took longer than expected to arrive, and when they finally did, the quality did not meet the standard we anticipated.
I ordered the 30-day aged prime ribeye cooked medium well, and it was disappointing. The flavor was lacking, the meat was chewy and dry, and there was no tenderness to the steak. It tasted like a significantly lower-quality cut than what was advertised. The sides and mocktails were good, but for the price of the meal, I expected exceptional service and food across the board.
I had seen some negative reviews beforehand but wanted to give the place a fair chance. Sadly, I should’ve taken the advice. I truly hope this was an isolated incident because the restaurant does have potential, but as of now, I cannot recommend it.
