I finally had the chance to dine at Nonas last weekend, and it was an experience that absolutely deserves a glowing review. Located at 950 Pine Market Ave Suite 400 in Montgomery, the restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in.
Our meal started with two incredible appetizers. The Seafood Appetizer (I believe our waiter called it the Frutti di Mare) was spectacularly fresh, featuring a beautiful mix of calamari, shrimp, and scallops that were cooked to perfection. We also shared the Caprese Salad, and it was a classic done right—ripe, juicy tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil with a drizzle of exquisite balsamic that had us fighting over the last bite.
For our mains, my partner ordered Nonas Favorite Chicken. The aroma alone was incredible! It was succulent, flavorful, and topped with a rich and savory combination of prosciutto and fontina cheese. A truly standout dish. I, however, have to give the highest praise to the Spaghetti and Meatballs. This was, without a doubt, some of the best Ive ever had. The pasta was cooked al dente, the marinara sauce was robust and had a wonderful depth of flavor (you can tell it simmers for hours), and the meatballs were incredibly tender and seasoned beautifully. It’s the kind of hearty, comforting dish that you crave.
The entire experience was elevated by our server, Eddie. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and had fantastic recommendations. His timing was impeccable—he checked on us just the right amount—and his genuine, friendly demeanor made us feel so welcome.
