Outback Steakhouse - (Near Longview, TX)

1 /5 Edmond Austin: We eat at the restaurant 3-5 times a month, the service is normally great, food is good EXCEPT LAST NIGHT 11/16/2025. My family, 6 adults (40-75 years of age), had reservations for 7PM. Sat on time. 5 ordered the 6 ounce Filet Mignon. Coffee, water, sodas for drinks, just so you know we weren’t drinking. The filets for 4 of us were either overcooked or undercooked depending upon who had what. The filets were SMALLER than a quarter pound hamburger except for 1. My brother ordered the chicken pasta dish, chicken was old and hard as a brick like it had been cooked earlier and sat around, pasta was day old from what he said. My family worked in restaurants thru the years so understand the difference between raw meat and cooked in size BUT no way were these 6 ounce. The service was fairly decent UNTIL it came time to pay. We all prefer to pay for our own meals, EXCEPT this waitress said she couldn’t accept cash and adjust the bill since 4 wanted to pay cash for their meals. She said the only way they accept payment is credit card on that stupid pay machine on the table. We have credit cards but again like to pay our own, since she refused the cash we let my brother pay credit. We are not a cashless society yet that I know of. They weren’t busy so that’s not an excuse for them, maybe 6-8 tables in the restaurant had customers. Didn’t see manager around to discuss this so here it is.

5 /5 Becky Sharp: The staff helped make this a wonderful ending to a great birthday! The waitress, manager, and other serving staff were so kind and attentive. They provided a wonderful experience! The food was exceptional. I don’t think I’ve ever had a fresher or crisper house salad. The food was full of flavor and would almost melt in your mouth. My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience or quality of food and service! Our hearts and bellies went home full tonight. Thank you to the staff that served us tonight! We are truly grateful!

1 /5 Kimberly Jones: Feathers AND hair?! GROSS!! Ordered via Uber Eats. How does this go unnoticed?! You’re preparing and packaging the food and DONT see this and think it’s ok to sell. To make matters worse, I have to either come pick up a remake or wait for UE to reach out with a resolution.THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!

2 /5 Kelli Hodkinson: The last 3 times I have eaten food from here it has been disappointing. Today’s takeout was below par. My pasta had minimal to no sauce, making the entire dish dry and hard to eat.

1 /5 Leslie Virgo: I’m incredibly disappointed with the lack of accountability and poor management at Outback in Longview. I’ve been a loyal customer and occasionally order the Kookaburra Wings, which I know from experience always come with a reasonable mix of drumsticks and flats, as expected with any standard wing order. This time, however, my entire order consisted of drumsticks only. Rather than call in immediately to complain, I chose to approach it respectfully by asking to speak with a manager to see if, perhaps, they were simply out of flats. The manager assured me they were not, which led me to ask for clarification as to why I received such an unbalanced order. The manager placed me on hold to consult with the cook and returned only to double down and essentially accuse me of lying, stating that “all wings are evenly distributed.” Meanwhile, I have a clear supporting video showing otherwise. As a loyal customer who has supported this location many times, it’s frustrating; especially when an automatic tip is added, to be treated as though my concern wasn’t valid or worth addressing properly. I was willing to show grace, but being blatantly called a liar is where I draw the line. Mistakes happen, but how they are handled matters. This was handled poorly. On a positive note, I want to acknowledge the young lady who brought the order out to curbside. The young lady was kind, professional, and prompt. Unfortunately, that courtesy wasn’t carried through when I spoke with management. Regretfully, Outback Longview has lost my business. I hope they take this feedback as a chance to reflect and improve how they respond to loyal customers with valid concerns.
