Bender Michael “MACB” I’ve been to this place a few times I just can’t remember if I’ve left a review. This time I tried a Philly cheesesteak and created my own milkshake mix of Oreo and Reese’s. The menu has lot of things to try. I’ve had burgers here that are pretty good. I have to say tho I was pretty amazed how good the cheesesteak was. It came out extremely hot and was super flavorful. I’m no cheesesteak connoisseur but I’ve had a few in my life and this was the best I’ve had in town. The fries are good here too. I have to say that I’ve tried a lot of milkshakes in town and this place has to be in my top places to have a shake. Whatever flavor bits they add are a good size and you can taste them. It’s not too runny either like a lot of other places are. I highly recommend you try this place. They have indoor and outdoor seating. You won’t be disappointed!

Kristin Kurzawski I had previously been to this restaurant alone on a visit to New Braunfels and just by chance my mother in law and I decided to stop there for her birthday lunch this past week. It was even better than I remembered (which was already great!)!! Our server, Pearl, took wonderful care of us and even indulged us by creating a fancy layered “birthday shot” called a B52 that’s a tradition for my mother in law and I on her birthday. We can’t wait to come back for more delicious food and top notch service at this wonderful establishment.

TheCherry RVLife We were hungry and in downtown Bastrop poring over reviews. Gracies caught our eye, not only for the overwhelming positive reviews, but also for the great atmosphere. We were not disappointed. It was a beautiful and abnormally warm winter afternoon, which made for a perfect lunch on the patio. Service was prompt and super friendly. We split a spinach salad as an appetizer. We liked it a lot - good amount of diced purple onion and bacon to add some flavor and crunch. The dressing is a little thin, but dont let that turn you off. It doesnt overwhelm the salad itself. The chicken fried steak was truly good - the steak was tender and the breading was crunchy and tasty. Good gravy. The french fries were better than most places. Kinda disappointed with the green beans - under seasoned and uninspired - they really needed a dash of salt and bacon fat. The strip steak was cooked exactly to order, which we appreciated. The garlic mashed potatoes were good, but seemed more like a casserole. The broccoli could have benefited from some red pepper flakes, butter, and lemon juice. Prices were reasonable. The kitchen was efficient at getting the food out quickly and all hot on the plate.

Courtney Wilkins Authentic homemade Mexican flavors at its finest! The service was speedy and personable I waited about 10 min altogether for my food. Definitely worth the wait since it’s hot and fresh once served.

Julie Mcclary We had the best time at Chets. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the service was amazing and the food was delicious! We had the Chets Popcorn Shrimp as well as the Fish & Chips. My fave was Chets Popcorn Shrimp because it was light and fresh, PERFECT for a hot summer day! Top it of with a good Old Fashion, and this Saturday couldnt be any better!!
