Crowl Raven (Maven Raven) The food is out of this world amazing and I had to leave with fresh tortillas hot off the press! It’s so authentic I felt like I was in Mexico! I truly am grateful for discovering this gem of a restaurant, owned and operated by such a lovely family! I’ll make it a point to travel this direction each time I drive this way.

Hannah Trout Hands down best brisket baked potatoes and loaded fries! The portions are HUGE and so delicious! Definitely a hidden gem, every time we visit Somerville or even drive through we stop for some bbq.

Dylan Medford This place is hidden gem. Went right before closing on my way to the lake and got a smoked half chicken. It was the best chicken I’ve ever had- juicy with an incredible smoky flavor. I then went back the next afternoon on the way home and got the 2 meat plate with chicken and brisket, double beans, and an order of the banana pudding. The chicken was just as incredible, the brisket was amazing- super juicy and flavorful, the beans were to die for, and the banana pudding was maybe the best I’ve ever had. You NEED to stop and try it if you are in the area. Very fair prices, terrific food, and a great man running the place.

Brandon Robinson This is probably one of the best restaurant options Kerrville has to offer. Its head and shoulders above 5D. The steak had a great sear and flavoring. The rice pilaf was so-so, kind of bland and dry. The Mac and Cheese was great and so was the loaded baked potato. I am disappointed there werent more steak options, you have one page of steaks and three pages of the other food but its supposed to be a steakhouse. I would have loved a prime rib, porterhouse, or even a t-bone. They offer a sirloin, NY strip, a ribeye, and filet mignon. Our waitress was 5 stars all day long. If youre the owner reading this, its the taller lady with the cool centipede tattoo.

Jessica Hellerew Walking into Tumble 22 was like walking into your favorite place--fun design, personable staff and kick ass chicken! We had the chicken bites & the Lil OG with Mac & Cheese as well as their special the Rangoon Royale. As always--Excellent! Really wanted to try the pecan & chocolate cream pie, but we were stuffed after our entree! Jack did an outstanding job making us feel welcome, explaining the menu as it was our 1st time, and the food was cooked perfectly. This may just become my go to chicken joint in San Marcos!
