Monica McDonald You Must Come Here. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The parking lot was empty which is unfortunate for those who want both a great meal and a warm environment. The food was excellent, the service was wonderful...Mr. Carrera is so personable, hes like your favorite uncle. We arrived a little less than an hour before closing. Per a review given by someone else, we ordered the vegan nachos, but added combo meat to it...the beef and the chicken were juicy and very flavorful. The veggies added an extra dimension of goodness that you must try for yourself. We also ordered the combo stuffed avocado which was creamy and full of smooth deliciousness. We ordered the tres leches cake which was an explosion of goodness and we also had the key lime and lemon cake which was equally as spectacular. We will definitely be going back.

christi huffman 1st time trying We placed an order through door dash and I have to say I will DEFINITELY be going back/ordering again. We got a fish shrimp basket, loaded gumbo, combo fried rice, fried okra, and egg rolls. Everything was amazing. The gumbo is so thick and savory with generous portions of shrimp, sausage etc. The fried fish is flaky and juicy. The tartar is fresh with a great dill balance to the flavor. The combo rice has so much flavor big tender shrimp, generous crawfish tails. I mean everything was delicious. Oh and add a couple boiled eggs with their house spice. We are definitely loyal customers now!

Mindy Lambert Enjoyed a fulfilling lunch while working on my laptop. Friendly, delicious food. And the musical choices rock! Everyone was digging the classic rock vibe. Other tables plus us were singing as we ate. Both the host and our waitress were very friendly too. Lunch menu was so affordable; about what I spend at McDonalds!! But SSSOOO much better!

James ilardi It really isnt hard to get folks. I am new to town, expecting Texans to show me something big. I asked the young lady, "Whats on the steak snadwhich?" With the upmost sincerety she smiled held up her hands like a sandwhich... "Steak, bread." I have seen enourmous vision of spectacle you fall over looking up... but truly nothing as big as the Texan hearts of this town. Like the man said, "Kellys has a Deli, and its the place to eat." NateMFJ Weve now visited The Mill House in Lufkin twice, and both experiences were excellent! On our first visit, the service was outstanding--our server was incredibly attentive, polite, and made us feel welcome right away. The restaurant itself is beautiful and very clean. We actually felt a little underdressed when we walked in, but they treated us like we fit right in, even though we showed up in sweats. We started with the garlic dip, which was super garlicky, cheesy, and absolutely delicious--a must-try. My wife ordered the Mill House Pasta, which was rich, cheesy, and full of flavor, with perfectly cooked chicken and shrimp. I ordered a burger that was slightly on the dry side but still very tasty, and the truffle fries were fantastic--crispy, flavorful, and addictive. Overall, it was easily a 4.5-star visit with great service, great food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. And we did go back-one week later-this time sitting at the bar. We both ordered cocktails, and the drinks were excellent. I had two different styles of Old Fashioneds and really enjoyed both. My wife had two martinis and loved them. For food, we tried the chicken Caesar wrap with fries, and my wife ordered the half sandwich and salad combo. The wrap was honestly one of the best Ive ever had--the chicken had a great char, and there was plenty of dressing. My wife really enjoyed her BLT; it had the perfect amount of bacon and was put together really well. At this point, I think weve found our new go-to spot in Downtown Lufkin. Cant wait to go back!
