The Loophole Funky Fresh Food & Booze - Denton

Rating: 3.9 /5
Preston Donahue Me and my fiance just wanted cheese fries, we went to cool beans first, their prices were absolutely ridiculous, so i suggested we go to loophole cause i liked their cheese fries in the past and they were fairly priced, but unfortunately the food just wasn’t good at all. Idk if they stopped making house ranch and started buying bottled ranch but it’s just as bad as hidden valley if not actually hidden valley, there was like only 7 pieces of bacon in the fries, the cheese sauce was almost definitely ricos nacho cheese sauce. Not bad but like. Come on… and the worst part was there was several raw fries. If you’re going to drown fries in the cheapest nacho cheese sauce at least make sure the fries are fried. It’s just sad. I feel like ever since denton became this “tourist town” quality has just gone down everywhere and prices have gone way up and service is sub par. Why even go out? I could have gotten a bag of frozen fries, friend them in oil, bought ricos cheese, actually make palatable ranch and a fair amount of bacon crumbles and had a much better experience with more food for the same price. I worked in food service for several years and was head chef at a few places and if I was serving these fries i just wouldnt feel proud. The atmosphere is great. The service has always been good and I’ve always liked the food here. But i dont think I’ll be back.

Warren Barreto Loved having lunch here. Seated quickly with a party of 2 in their covered patio and Andrew was immediately to our table with water and menus. We chose the crab stuff mushrooms for appetizer which was tender, juicy and delicious, highly recommended. I tried the salmon sandwich with bacon which was an odd combo but seemed to work, probably do with that on the side. Skinny fries were excellent too. Another choice was the chicken parmesian with a huge bowl of dipping sauce which was packed with flavor. Highly recommend checking this spot out as the food,l and service was top notch!

Kona Grill - El Paso - El Paso

Dj Randol We decided to skip the kitchen chaos this year and try Kona Grill for Thanksgiving dinner. Best decision we made all month. From the moment we walked in, everything clicked. The host team was warm and welcoming (zero trace of the holiday rush stress you’d expect), and our server was flat-out excellent: attentive without hovering, genuinely enthusiastic about the specials, and timed everything perfectly. The vibe inside was upscale yet relaxed (sleek modern décor, soft lighting, chill music); festive enough for the holiday but never cheesy. The special Thanksgiving menu was way more creative than the usual turkey-and-stuffing suspects. The star was the Macadamia Nut Turkey: tender roasted turkey breast coated in a crunchy macadamia crust, served with a light passion fruit glaze that sounds wild but absolutely works. It’s the perfect blend of island flair and holiday comfort. The ribs (yes, ribs on Thanksgiving) were fall-off-the-bone perfect, glazed in that signature Kona BBQ sauce with just the right sweet-smoky balance. Sides were on point too: creamy mashed potatoes, crisp green beans, and a killer pineapple jalapeño cornbread stuffing that I’m still thinking about. Portions were generous, cocktails were strong (the spiced pumpkin margarita was dangerously good), and the dessert menu tempted us hard, but we were happily stuffed. Kona Grill turned what could have been just a convenient holiday meal into a legit dining highlight. If you want excellent service, creative food that still feels festive, and a beautiful environment that makes the holiday feel special without the dishes afterward, book it next year. We’re already

Indian Dhaba - Gainesville

Rating: 4.5 /5
Stephanie Mescher My husband and I stopped here for lunch during a day trip to Gainesville. Although it is inside a gas station, the food is incredible! We both loved our orders, he got a chicken dish and I got a vegetarian dish, and you get a huge serving. We had to wait a bit for our food, but highly recommend it and hope to go back next time we are in town.

Mike Cole Excellent must try place. Beautiful decor and atmosphere when you walk in to amazing and knowledgeable service. Kaitlyn and Dale guided us on what wines we should try and lets us sample before we decided. They also made good pizza recommendation. Will definitely go back.

Taqueria La Finca - Port Lavaca

Patrick Garcia La Finca is our go-to for breakfast tacos. It has always been a pleasant experience with really good tacos (egg and bean, egg and bacon, egg and sausage). Thank you La Finca!!!
