Jenny T Super fresh sashimi… everything we ordered were of superb quality. California hand roll was made of real crab meat. Salmon teriyaki was very tender. The wasabi was made of fresh wasabi root. The quality is comparable to Dallas Nobu.

Whataburger - Eastland

Rating: 3 /5
Sarah Lynn I have gone to the Eastland Whataburger quite a bit lately and I must leave a GREAT review for them now! The restaurant was clean, and I even saw the cashier wiping the counters down when I came in. The cashier, Debra, did not hesitate to greet me which I always find polite & necessary when in customer service. My salad was fresh and delicious, and the service was excellent. Debra was extremely polite and helpful — you can tell she truly cares about her job, the company, and especially the customers. It’s so refreshing to be greeted with a friendly demeanor. Thank you for making my visit such a pleasant one!

Break of Day Breakfast Shop - Queen City

Rating: 4.6 /5
Sebastian Agudelo We were driving in from out of state toward Houston when we decided to stop for breakfast after a long stretch on the road. We didn’t expect much except a quick bite. The moment we arrived, we were greeted with one of the friendliest and most welcoming atmospheres we’ve ever experienced. The Break of Day Breakfast Shop not only serves amazing food, but their hospitality truly makes the visit memorable. If you ever find yourself on Highway 59 in this area, do yourself a favor and stop by. It’s the very definition of home-style cooking with genuine Texas Southern hospitality.

El Camino - Corpus Christi

Rating: 4.1 /5
Sonali Joshi if you like chill vibes, good drinks, and solid Tex-Mex, El Camino is one of those places you actually enjoy sitting and hanging out in—not rushing through a meal. The moment you walk in, it already feels fun. Warm lighting, relaxed energy, and that kind of place where you can talk, laugh, and take your time. It’s great for a casual dinner, catching up with friends, or even a low-key date night. Now let me get straight to the food—especially the vegetarian options, because they don’t feel like an afterthought here. Veg Quesadillas The veg quesadillas are comforting in the best way. Nicely grilled, cheesy without being too heavy, and packed with veggies that actually have flavor—not bland filler. They’re the kind of dish you keep pulling apart while talking because they’re just… easy and satisfying. Veg Enchiladas The vegetarian enchiladas were honestly a pleasant surprise. Warm, saucy, and filling—but not overwhelming. The flavors feel balanced, and you don’t miss the meat at all. It’s proper Tex-Mex comfort food that works beautifully for vegetarians. Guacamole And the guacamole? Fresh, chunky, and done right. Not watery, not over-mashed. Just clean, simple flavors that pair perfectly with their crispy chips. It’s the kind of guac you keep eating even after you say, “Okay, last bite.” Drinks & Overall Vibe Their margaritas are solid—refreshing, not too sweet—and honestly, they match the mood of the place perfectly. El Camino feels social. It’s not fancy-fancy, but it’s polished enough to feel special. Final Thoughts El Camino is one of those spots where: • You feel comfortable lingering • Vegetarian food actually feels thoughtful • The vibe matters just as much as the plate If you’re in Corpus Christi and want a fun Tex-Mex evening with good veg options, El Camino is absolutely worth stopping.

Sea Barra - San Marcos

Rating: 4.7 /5
Jennifer Riggin We had the fresh shrimp mango ceviche, Pacifico (only comes canned but they provided a mug), a pineapple jalapeño margarita, and a battered/fried fish taco. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful. The fresh shrimp was cut up and mixed with the cucumber and red onion. It also came with a few cooked shrimp on the side. It could have used more mango but it wasnt a deal breaker for the freshness. Its a huge serving so be prepared to share or have leftovers. The pineapple jalapeño margarita was good but the pineapple flavor was really light. The jalapeño flavor was present but not crazy strong. The battered fish taco was amazing (I forgot to snap a photo). The cabbage was finely shredded which is perfect for me as I typically dont love raw cabbage. I do wish the fish was fried a bit more. I also wish we would have asked for more of the Chipotle aioli. Delicious!
