5 /5 J Davis: Our waiter LaLa was the best. Very professional, friendly and down to earth she made our experience that much more greater. She was very attentive. Despite being busy she didn’t stay gone too long, and in very reasonable intervals asked us if we were ok and needed anything. These are things i pay attention to at every establishment i visit and she deserves this recognition for bettering my experience. Pleas recognize her. Overall the vibe was amazing. Great place, food , good music and atmosphere . We will be regulars here.

5 /5 ms Christie: Okay, I have to start by saying I went back and forth on if I should give four or five stars. And I will share why, later. Let’s start with the fact that I am a frequent visitor to their downtown location. I am a Houston local and I am a fan of their happy hour! I typically order their lemon drops and sidecar. Amazingggg! And for food I do order the only vegan option which is cauliflower and waffles. So, that’s what I decided to opt for while visiting the sugar land location; lemon drops and cauliflower and waffles. My bartender was Dai! She is so sweet! She has excellent customer service and beautiful energy! I also met the bar manager (believe his name is Brandon). Every person I interacted with (excluding when exiting the building) had amazing customer service! That is something that will keep me coming back! The vibes here are almost the complete opposite of their downtown location. It’s more upscale, music is nowhere near as loud, and they have outdoor seating with a beautiful lake view. Different, but it’s still appreciated. My food? Baby! Almost fully taste the same as the other location. My cauliflower tasted a little different, however, I still enjoyed it . My waffles? Magnificent! They were certainly consistent with those. Damn, I can just taste them. Lol. Please note that I did add some toppings to my waffles-sweet potato and peach cobbler. My drink? They were not nasty, but it did not taste like the other location. Actually, I enjoyed it. Later found out that they use a different well vodka than the downtown location. Why was I going back and forth? Well I had to send my waffles back because they were cold. My drinks did not the taste the same as downtown location (I’m huge on consistency when dining out). But what I probably disliked the most was when I left the restaurant. There were a group of girls at the host stand, three of them. They were so caught up on their conversation no one thanked me when leaving or said goodbye. And, that is huge for me! However, it was only their second night open I’m sure those kinks will be worked out. Please, if you’re considering going, go!! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. anytime I bring someone visiting from back home to Taste they love it. I’m sure you will too.

5 /5 Marris Supaman: This place is amazing! From the views to the delicious menu... I mean... errthang here is beyond good!!! My recommendation... have the waiters/ waitresses order for you. You wont be disappointed. The only thing that would make this place even better is an Amazing waiting staff and Dettrick was outstanding! Made our Birthday/ Christmas celebration the best. Its been a while since weve had this level of customer service. We are coming back for the same experience... and Dettrick is a must as our waiter! 5 out of 5 all around. Enjoy.

4 /5 D LaRael: Taste Bar – Sugar Land Edition: where good vibes meet great parking — a rare Houston-area combo worth celebrating. From the moment I pulled in, I was greeted by plenty of smiling faces and a cocktail list that looked promising from the start. The drinks? Absolutely worth the hype — shoutout to the bartenders and my server for keeping the energy high and the glasses full (eventually). Now, about that service speed — let’s just say it matched the rhythm of the great mixed playlist flowing through the bar: upbeat and fun, but running a little behind on tempo when it came to getting drinks out. My lemon pepper wings showed up fresh out the fryer but politely forgot to bring the flavor. Thankfully, the rest of the meal found its groove and delivered the southern comfort Taste is known for. Bonus points for the happy hour — a seriously good selection and even better hours that make it easy to stop in whether youre escaping traffic or starting the weekend early. All in all, a warm, welcoming spot that feels like it’ll only get better as it settles in. With good food, better drinks, and best-in-class smiles, I’m already planning a return trip to show this new Sugar Land gem some more love.

2 /5 Q B: First time here and the fact that it’s black owned makes things so much worse. We were sat music was good. But when it came to the server she was not very knowledgeable at all she stated she has to check on this or that. She finally returned we asked about pricing on a specific item and was the food very spicy and she stated no it’s not then I’ll check on the price for you. 45 mins later the food comes out and never got a price on adding something. Then she never returned to the table yet continued to walk past us. Later she just dropped the check off to our table and that was that. The food was very spicy to us! She never came back to refill our water! We had to ask another server for water. Costumer Service is terrible. In the bathroom there were NO MIRRORS and it wasn’t cleaned either. No smell good in the bathroom either it smelled of urine. Geez we want be back !
