5 /5 Ashley Billins: If youre looking for a low-carb breakfast or lunch spot that doesn’t make you choose between flavor, freshness, or affordability—Tea Thyme Cafe nails all three. I ordered the build-your-own omelet and went full veggie mode: red and yellow peppers, green onions, red onions, spinach, more I can’t remember and olives on top, plus bacon and cheddar all served with sliced avocado, and salsa—for only $11.49. That’s a serious win for a low-carb, high-flavor meal that doesn’t feel like a compromise!
My friend got the turkey tacos (kind of looks turkey salad-ish), which came on a bed of spinach and were loaded with green onions, cranberries, mandarin oranges, and walnuts. It looked fresh and creative—definitely not your average taco situation—for $12.99.
Our server, Judy, had a straight-faced charm that grew on us quickly. She was attentive, patient and had the kind of wit that sneaks up on you in the best way keeping the vibe fun! I asked an embarrassing number of questions about the vegetable options, and she handled it like a pro. Even the food runner checked in to make sure my veggie-packed omelet masterpiece came out just right. It was really nice.
Only downside? Parking. Lunchtime on a Wednesday = packed. But once you’re inside, it’s smooth sailing with plenty of seating, quick service, and food that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting under a heat lamp since sunrise.
Will absolutely be back.
