Texas Roadhouse -Food CA (Near Texas City)

5 /5 S D: We have been to many Texas Roadhouses across the country and the one thing I can say is: They are so kind and friendly at each location and that the food is always top notch! We were in town for a meeting and were next door at the outlet malls and decided to see if we could get a seat. We were not sure if there would be a spot ad the place looked packed. But they were great and we were seated in a few minutes. The steak was a little less cooked then I would have liked but I was not going to send my back. My friend`s steak was perfect. I love that each restaurant has its own theme. This one had some great caricature photos on the walls. They had the baseball game playing so we were watching while waiting for our food. We did not see any peanuts though. They are usually at the front door that you can take a bag with you. Not a big issue. We may have just missed them.

5 /5 Wesley Lehmberg: Love this place! The potato skins are the best! Ive never had anything bad here but I love the pork chops! Junior is our server every Friday. One of the best servers there. Great attitude, great smile, and always making sure you have everything you need. Ask for Junior!

1 /5 Erick R: Unfortunately, we decided to try this location instead of our regular one at Baybrook last night. My son ordered a burger without mushrooms, but when it came out - it had mushrooms. He was too hungry to send it back so he took out the mushrooms and sadly most of the cheese with it. He was about halfway eating it when we said ouch and spit out a piece of plastic :(. We asked one of the servers for the manager and they explained it was unfortunately left in the burger - it’s to gauge the cooking temperature and should have been removed before serving. She was very apologetic and offered to bring my son another one or a different meal. He declined, so she told us they would remove the burger from the bill - why h they did. My wife and I couldn’t eat any more so we took the rest of her food and mine to go. Once we got home, my wife realized her ribs were burnt to a crisp, as she had only cut into her steak and eaten a portion of it before touching the ribs. We were so disappointed in our experience and won’t be returning to this location as it did not live up to what we’ve had at other locations. When we left, my wife and I agreed that although this is a newer location than the one we normally go to in Baybrook, it is not as clean. The floors were dirty and sticky. We understand we went at a high traffic time, but overall - we did not enjoy our visit last night.

You have all the ingredients: the tender and juicy pink steak, the delicious baked potato, the country music and the young atmosphere, makes you feel home. My husband is a Texan and I am not but I felt home at the Texas Roadhouse, in Texas City. The foods are really delicious. If you are looking for the real Texan steak grilled on fire, it is the right place. The menu is very rich and there are meals for every taste. I took the steak kabob and my husband took the New York style steak, we could not finish everything; we fell in a coma of deliciousness. The service is excellent. We were served fast and the young team is very nice. I highly recommend this place for hungry people who are looking for savor and ambiance.

Last, only complaint was the loaded sweet potato. When they brought it out, it lacked the caramel sauce and marshmallows were limited and not melted, just toasted. Manager did come by and I told him how it lacked the caramel. He took it back and brought out another one and asked me to check it. It had more caramel so I told him it was good, but issue was marshmallows were no where melted. Literally falling off. The TRH off el Dorado always service the best loaded sweet potatoes. So this location needs some work.
