Guac Star We recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at J. Alexander’s, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and perfect for a special occasion, but still relaxed enough to feel comfortable. From the moment we were seated, the staff made us feel valued and truly went above and beyond to make the evening special.
For dinner, I ordered the New York Strip steak, and it was cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. My wife had the crab cakes, which were perfectly seasoned, crisp on the outside, and loaded with fresh crab on the inside. We also enjoyed a fresh, crisp salad that was simple but elevated, a great complement to the main dishes. Everything was served hot and beautifully plated, with clear attention to detail.
The biggest surprise of the night came at the end when the staff brought out a slice of their famous carrot cake — on the house — to help us celebrate our 20th anniversary. It was hands down one of the best desserts I’ve ever had: moist, rich, and generously layered with frosting. That thoughtful touch truly made the night memorable.
J. Alexander’s combines outstanding food with exceptional service, making it a go-to for both everyday dining and life’s biggest celebrations. Highly recommend!
