5 /5 Grouse K9: If you want to enjoy solid Thai food you better try this place out fast. Good Asian food rarely lasts long, so enjoy this fleeting star while it lasts. There was a pretty heavy take out scene while we were there, so if thats your style - that option is good as well.
We came for an early-ish dinner on Saturday and were surprised that there was only one other seated table in the small, but stylish restaurant. By the time we left, it was almost full so perhaps we were just there too early. Theres about 3 2-tops, 3 4-tops and 2 6. Gives you an idea of the space.
It was a two person operation. Owner/man(?) was the back kitchen and the owner/woman(?) ran the front of the shop. She was a highly attentive waitress, incredibly kind and by the time we left incredibly busy.
We started off with a very flavorful soup broth that they brought us with bits of cucumber in it. Then our appetizer arrived which was over the top good. The A1. Por-Pia Tod was described as a "Popular Thai Fried Spring Rolls". They were not volcanic hot which was good. I feared that they were fresh from the frier. But they were just very good fried spring rolls of whatever local. Next up I had the G3. Massaman Gai Curry with Chicken. I thought it was very well done with chicken, potatoes and a side of rice. Massaman Curry is always my go to curry and I enjoyed this take on it.
Overall a great time and I look forward to returning to try out more of the menu.
