Slow service isn’t necessarily a dealbreaker for us, but lack of acknowledgment from the restaurant staff on the long wait was a major disappointment. The food itself was decent, but not extraordinary. We ordered the jerk chicken and oxtail, both of which were lacking in flavor. The best part of the experience was the plantains and greens which were both cooked well and flavorful.
Overall, this spot was underwhelming especially given the rave reviews we saw before deciding to go in. But I think this place has a lot of potential if they work on their service and execution a little bit. The ambiance and atmosphere is really lively. We loved the music.
