True Texas BBQ - (Near Kerrville, TX)

5 /5 W Jeri (Wanderin): This place is nothing short of 5 *. The brisket is just about the best it can be. I opted for a plate of just sliced brisket from the point. Thats my favorite cut of meat. It definitely didnt disappoint. The cashier was very friendly and efficient. She explained a little about the brisket they make and helped with getting the other. I was so impressed. I wish I could take some back with me on the airplane. The restaurant sits in a corner of the HEB grocery store. Its a perfect place to have it. It looks like you are definitely walking into a very nice BBQ restaurant. It was clean and perfect. Love this place!

2 /5 David Harris: So we walk in and are immediately told they don’t take cash. That’s fine I always pay with card. Then we attempt navigate a kiosk with 6000 choices. Finally get that done and go to pay and get the circle of death on the screen. Then a lady comes around the counter to look what’s happening. She says well it’s because you have beer on there. My response was well you have beer as choice! She responds that you can’t buy beer on the kiosk. But she offers to walk me to the other side of Kerr county in the store to some customer service counter to get beer. My response was never mind. Might look into a restaurant manager. Probably would go along way here!

5 /5 Stan McGinnis: We stopped by to have a quick dinner. My wife had the lean brisket sandwich and I had the Chopped Brisket sandwich. Both sandwiches were very good. I also had the Mac and Cheese as a side. The Mac and Cheese was very tasty seasoned just right. Their dinning area was very clean and well decorated for that Texas Hill Country feel. If you want a quick bite to eat and you don’t want to have a sit down dinner where you have to wait a good while for your meal, this is a great place.

5 /5 Chris Palomarez: The Mac and cheese was great. The brisket BBQ sandwich was big and filling. I’m not sure why but the root beer hit different here. Good stuff!!
