5 /5 Holly Byrd: This was a great find. A little off the road and hard to see but definitely a place to stop. I got the Big Tex burger and it was so delicious. Decided to add the house made Chipotle Aioli ketchup for a little spice. Their regular fries were good as well. My husband got The Western burger and Freaky Fries. He said his burger was good and I tasted his fries that were so yummy I wish I would have ordered them as well. Well definitely be back when were in the area again!

5 /5 Heather Watson LLC: We originally stopped for a Starbucks latte and were surprised to find the cutest restaurant tucked right behind the drive-thru—Twisted Root Burger in Athens, Texas! We decided to pop in, and I’m so glad we did. We were beyond impressed. The menu is huge and includes options for different dietary needs, which was a pleasant surprise. The flavors were amazing, and you could tell everything was made with care—from their unique sides and house-made sauces to the FIVE kinds of pickles you can help yourself to (pickle lovers, take note!). The vibe is just as good as the food. The back patio is pet-friendly and full of personality with fun art, music, laid-back seating, and yard games. It was such a fun and unique experience—I definitely want to come back and bring my daughter next time!
