5 /5 A R: This restaurant is a hidden gem! Im so happy we got to try it out with my parents! Welcoming staff as well as clean and the sense of home. The chicken fried steak was delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! For dessert I had the butter pecan cake, it was amazing! Others at our table loved their meals to, which includes the mixed gumbo, beef tips, and chicken strips! We cannot wait to go back, totally worth the short drive!

5 /5 Cindy Fuller: I love the vintage look. I was seated right away. The food came out hot and in a reasonable time. The waitress was very attentive. The food was seasoned well. They have daily specials along with off the menu meals. All in all a great experience!

4 /5 Sue Katzcradul: We drove over an hour to get to Vautrots because of the great reviews it received. Upon being seated the first thing I noticed was how breezy it was with so many fans spinning at high speed. It was a little distracting. I went back out to our car to retrieve my jacket. The waitress was very friendly and helpful in navigating the menu since it was our first visit there. I started with a cup of shrimp gumbo . The flavor was delicious . The roux was dark just like I like it . The shrimp held their shape but were very much overcooked for my liking. I had the shrimp po boy with fried shrimp and okra as my side. With the first bite I noted that the bread was real French bread. It had a nice crust but was tender and moist on the inside. The shrimp were fried perfectly. The vegetables were refresh and delicious. The fried okra was yummy My husband ordered the crawfish etouffee. When they sat it down we both were wowed with how beautiful it was but the first bite put us off. It clearly contained Campbells Golden Cream of Mushroom soup. That soup has an unmistakable flavor. It was very disappointing. We intend to try it one more time but will not order the etouffee.
