Jered McMillan Since I found Friendly Nettle almost a year ago Ive developed a serious obsession with their Banh Mi. I consider myself an amatuer-connoisseur-quasi-ad hoc-expert on these amazing sandwiches and these are by far the best Ive had. If you havent had a Banh Mi this is the place to start. If you love these as much as I do stop reading this and go get one! Well done Friendly Nettle! I will continue to follow you around and eat your sandwiches until you stop making them.

Scott Best Jack’s BBQ – Grand Opening Breakfast, Federal Way Today was the grand opening of Jack’s BBQ in Federal Way, and I took my grandson for breakfast. The first thing you notice is the life-size cow on the roof — it’s impossible not to miss! The exterior is spotless and freshly painted, with bright neon window signs adding to the fun Texas vibe. Inside, it’s cozy and welcoming, with red-and-white checkered tablecloths and Texas décor filling the walls, including classic cow horns for that authentic touch. We arrived just minutes after they opened and were customers #3 and #4. The staff was friendly, and the full menu already featured all of Jack’s classics, plus a new breakfast section that’s a real winner. Breakfast includes three BBQ-meat tacos on flour tortillas with eggs, cheese, and potatoes — your choice of brisket, pulled pork, or jalapeño sausage. I ordered the brisket and sausage; my grandson Matt chose sausage too. Both were hearty, smoky, and packed with meat. The sausage had that signature BBQ flavor, sliced perfectly, while the brisket was tender and full of rich smokehouse flavor. Their breakfast is highly recommended — Matt even ate his taco in the car on the way to school! It’s great to finally have a place like this in Federal Way. We’ll definitely be regular customers.

Ann Seibert A Charming, Delicious Gem at the Boat Haven! During our week long stay at Boat Haven, we absolutely loved the Marina Cafe! Its a charming spot with a wonderful, down-home atmosphere that feels authentically Port Townsend. The staff are exceptionally friendly and kind, making everyone feel right at home. The delicious food is a testament to the care and passion put into every dish. Our omelets were perfectly cooked and full of fresh ingredients, and the homemade muffins were outstanding—moist, fluffy, and absolutely "to die for". We also adored the little touches that make this cafe special, like the fresh flowers on the tables. It was a lovely discovery to learn the owner is from Hawaii; it adds a special flavor to the place and explains the delectable Hawaiian-style treats available on certain days. For a cozy, friendly, and delicious meal by the water, this is the perfect spot. We cant wait to come back!

Melanie De La Cruz Absolutely some of the best food Ive ever had! From the pastries to the biscuits and gravy ( best ever hands down). As I type this, were about to dig in to my birthday cake from them and it is a work of art. The staff is amazing, as busy as they are they remembered me just the second time I came in. The atmosphere is great as well! Im so jealous of their plants!

Rahul G We went here recently for our anniversary dinner and it was a great experience. The service staff was super friendly and attentive. Service through the whole meal was attentive without being intrusive. We got the window seats which are great for people watching. The food was delectable. I would highly recommend the Oysters Rockefeller. We also took the Chilean sea bass and the NZ King salmon as entrée and both were cooked just right. Would definitely be coming back here!
