Chung Ki Wa - (Near Lakewood, WA)

4 /5 Mark: Bottom line up front: tasty, flavorful food and definitely worth a try, but considering the price point, it will not be a regular stop for me. This was the first time we have ever been here before. I went with a group of a total of nine of us from work for lunch. Ill say considering the size of our group, our food did not take as long as I thought it would to come out, and they did a pretty good job of bringing it all out at the same time. The prices were definitely on the higher side of competitive normal prices considering our oversaturated market of restaurant selections in this area. I got the hot pot bulgogi and really enjoyed it once it was cool enough to eat and added some sriracha. There was a wide variety of foods purchased in our group, not one dish was ordered twice, and nobody had any complaints. I thought the quality, flavor and portion sizes of the food was very good. Definitely not the cleanest restaurant Ive been in, but I wouldnt go so far as to call it dirty either. All of the little dishes of sides that they brought out were great, I liked the variety. I would give it between 3.5-3.7 out of 5

4 /5 Jane Kim: The food here such as their BBQ ribs, spicy pork soup, rib soup with cabbage and all of their side dishes are fairly decent. The atmosphere of the restaurant is good, but the friendliness and the attentiveness of the staff can waver depending on how busy the restaurant is. When it’s really busy, the parking lot tends to get full, and expect a wait time for getting a table. Otherwise, calling ahead to reserve a table or taking your food to-go is another option.

5 /5 Cree Miller: I came in after hearing great things about this place. I’m normally at the Olympus Spa twice a week and I’ve never eaten here. Why?!?! It’s absolutely amazing. After a soak, I walked over, and even though it was just me? I was given great service. The best Korean sides I’ve EVER had and the seafood dolst was to die for. I already want more of it and I’m already planning a trip back. I listened to an audio book in my headphones and I got checked on from time to time. Absolutely recommend going in.

I will always return for the best jokbal and bossam. The BBQ is also great, but their special kitchen dishes are superior quality.
