1997 Cafe And Cocina - Yakima

Rating: 4.5 /5
fabian cantu Get here early! They get packed during the weekends. This cafe is very creative. They have some local history posted on the walls as well as intentional decorations. You can tell the owners care a lot about how their business space makes you feel as you come in. My fiancé and I ordered the chilaquiles and they were very delicious!! The green sauce was the perfect amount of spiciness. I have to admit the drinks are my favorite. The seasonal drink menu is where it’s at!! I got the Dulce Otoño and it’s now my favorite drink. Thank you 1997.

Alder & Ash - Seattle

Rating: 4.4 /5
Tompkins Oscar My girlfriend and I enjoyed the three-course Thanksgiving meal. The squash soup and seasonal salad were fresh and delicious, while the main course of turkey and mashed potatoes was flawless. The pumpkin pie tasted homemade and was a sweet ending to a great Thanksgiving. We also enjoyed a seasonal espresso martini and old fashioned, both great. The service was excellent and wait time was minimal. Can’t wait to try the normal menu.

Marsalis Eboné “Pearl” Whenever I come into or just passing by Pomeroy, I stop and grab me some steak tacos. The place is always clean, good quiet atmosphere. The bathroom is clean!! The flavors are almost always on point. The service is fast and the customer service is A1.

Dockside - Anacortes

Rating: 3.6 /5
Gary Syck Every year, in November, I join friends and family for a trip to a secret location in the San Juan Islands. The adventure starts in the dark, with a drive up to Anacortes to catch a ferry to Friday Harbor. This year, the weather was cold and rainy. We had a 20 minute wait in line - just enough time for a latte. The bad news was that the coffee in the ferry terminal is terrible. Still, it was hot, so we reluctantly headed in. That was when my daughter spotted Dockside - a mobile booth set up next to the holding area. We made an immediate course correction. There was fruit in baskets out front, all the usual coffee add-ons on a counter and a window where an enthusiastic barista greeted us. He bantered his way through taking our orders and assured us that we would have our drinks in (Checks the order list) "Three minutes and twenty eight seconds." I did not time him, but it was not long before I had my hands warming around a latte that tasted great. Several of the people we would meet on the boat to our secret location joined us to catch up on personal news and drink coffee. Before we knew it, the tannoy blared the announcement that it was time to load. What a great way to pass the time. I have a few more trips planned this Winter and I am looking forward to the Dockside part of those trips.

Bantam - Bellingham

Rating: 4.6 /5
Misha Smith My daughter, who lives in Bellingham and goes to Washington State University, has been raving about Bantam for a while—so we finally had the chance to check it out together. She had especially talked about the beet salad appetizer, and wow, it did not disappoint! The flavors were incredible—the feta cheese took it to the next level. We also had the chicken, and it was delicious. What made the experience even better was the amazing service. Our server was incredibly sweet and made sure we got to try all the sauces. She was attentive without being overbearing, making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is cozy and thoughtfully decorated. I loved that there were books to browse and that the upstairs seating offered a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. While there is seating downstairs, I’d definitely recommend the second floor for a more relaxed dining experience. We came on a Saturday night and, thankfully, there was no wait. Street parking was easy to find, which made everything even smoother. Thank you for a great meal and a lovely evening with my daughter—this is one spot we’ll definitely be coming back to!

egghole - Puyallup

Kim Ludwick I’ve had their Sweet Cheeks sandwich several times and it’s seriously the mother of all breakfast sandwiches. It’s the perfect blend of sweet and savory. I’m not a syrup person at all but I went ahead had the syrup left on just to see if I would like it and it was really good, adds the perfect amount of sweetness. I also was shocked at how generous they are with the bacon, normally when you order a sandwich with bacon you might get two little slices “if you are lucky””, this sandwich had a lot of bacon and it was thick and good quality. The sandwich is good sized and very filling. I’ve also had their Iced White Chocolate Mocha and it’s definitely the best I’ve had, not sure if it’s the Organic coffee that’s used or what but man it’s so good, impossible not to get the 24oz. Today I had their Sour Patch Kid drink for the first time and loved it, would definitely buy it again. The environment is great, overhead music playing and they have little table games you can play while eating, and sometimes they even have a Cornhole game outside the entrance which I think is super cool. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. The entire place just has a really cool vibe.
