Blue Water Bar & Grill - Friday Harbor
Peter Lekhakul Stopped for a bite to eat before heading back on ferry, late late lunch/ early dinner, during the week, during off-season, so but busy at all. It was a nice place with a bar and inside seating area, no outside seating. Seats by the window has a great view of the harbor and ferry dock. Staff very friendly... had the clam chowder and daily special, rigatone bolognese with meat sauce. The chowder was tasty, had descent amounts of clam chunks and potatoes (soft, but held shape). The soup was well seasoned, not too salty or thin, medium thickness. The pasta was cooked perfectly, al dente, sauce had really good flavor, not too salty or acidic. Solid tasting dish and good portion too. Price wise, not cheap eats prices, $29 for pasta, so in the high side but it was the special, which usually more expensive than normal menu, chowder cup was $6, normal-low. So depends what you eat, overall normal priced for upper quality. They had miso cod on the menu and didnt try but sounded good. Good place, Ill come back...
