Moby Duck Chowder & Seafood - (Near Port Angeles, WA)

5 /5 Kristine: Great choice for lunch while stopping Port Angeles for work. The fish & chips were tasty- delicious. They were served exceptionally hot. The clam chowder was amazing also. My husband & I shared this , it was more than enough for the 2 of us. We actually left some fish as we were able to eat it all. Atmosphere was nice, there are lots of tables located next to the windows so you can people watch as your getting a bite to eat. Waitress was friendly.

2 /5 Lorie H: This is the most disgusting food my family and I have put into our mouths. The food is tasteless, and the clams in the clam chowder soup are rubbery. The french fries are acceptable. My daughter didnt even finish her food. We spent $71 worth of garbage. They run out of clams and sliders, and the atmosphere is chaotic. It took 45 minutes to wait for our take-out dishes. It feels like watching the first 15 minutes of Bar Rescue. I do not recommend this restaurant!!!

2 /5 Liz S.: Cute place, nice views but....got our drinks fast however the soup came out AFTER the dinners were served. One of 4 dinners came our 10 min. before the other 3, and none of the dinners were hot... all warm, almost cold... cold fish and fries is not very tasty. Food was okay, nothing special, especially the clam chowder... disappointed. The wait staff was not on top of refills (sodas & waters), unless it was alcohol... Asked 3 different people for 4 cocktail sauces... only got 2 containers of sauce....?? Would I recommend this place... only if youre desprate and dont have expectations of good service & food for the price youll pay.

5 /5 Skylar Sawatzky: Definitely worth the $60 ferry ride across the border and down into the states JUST for a bowl of chowder!! To preface; Ive lived in Europe for a while, and they dont have chowder there. So I havent had a good hearty bowl of clam chowder soup for YEARS. The last time I had amazing chowder was also in Washington but in Seattle. So after years of not tasting chowder, and previously high expectations for this seaside state, Moby Duck delivered. I got the chowder in the bread bowl, and my god was that delicious sour dough.. I ate the ENTIRE bowl covered in broth because I didnt want the meal to end. The chowder itself was perfection!! It was chunky and hearty and flavourful, filled with potatoes, bacon, and thyme, and hosted the perfect amount of clams swimming in the creamy seasoned broth. And let me tell you.. those clams were fresh! All their fish is fresh!! The charm to this otherwise grey-pub-like looking building next to the wharf, is the fact that it is family owned. This is what made the chowder truly wholesome for me, is the waitress who served me was the sister, and her brothers were back out on the boat catching more fish so they their menu is truly the freshest you can find. Honestly, sorry to Seattle, but I think this tops my best chowder list. Moby Duck; youre in my #1 spot now.

5 /5 Kelly Truesdell: Has to be the freshest seafood ever! The fish fillets were thick, and the chowder was simply amazing. All dishes were perfectly seasoned. The servers were kind and attentive. Unique atmosphere and nice views. It is great to support a local restaurant serving the highest quality food. Very convenient to be able to make reservations with google. My only regret is that we gobbled up the delicious appetizers before we remembered that we didnt take any photos. Haha. The blackened halibut and salmon are both amazing. Everything on the menu is a must try! So glad this restaurant opened.
