Tacoma Szechuan - (Near Lakewood, WA)

Jerome Reed First of all, I’ll let the photos speak for themselves when it comes down to the food. If that isn’t evidence enough for you that I firmly believe this place is worth every penny then I don’t know what is. I went here a while ago with my girlfriend so I can’t quite remember what we ordered but I do remember they have poke bowls too. Our waiter was amazing, this was my first time ever using card to pay at a restaurant so I was kind of thrown off when I got my card back with a new receipt, but eventually I figured it out and made sure to leave a good tip! She would check on us periodically to make sure our food was good and that we didn’t want anymore water. You could also note that you can ask for chili oil if you decide your ramen isn’t spicy enough (as seen in the bottom right of third picture). Atmosphere was great, it’s a very calming environment with great lighting paired with cozy booths. They also had some nice music going so that was a bonus. Don’t be afraid to try this place out!

Kathy Alyabyev My friend and I stopped at cockatoos chicken restaurant on our way home. We ordered the spiciest chicken that they had and let me say, it really does burn. We enjoyed it though along with a salad, gyozas, and our assorted basket of fried food. The prices are a bit higher then usual however this was a nice place to try out. The server did everything in a timely manner. There is a good parking area right next to the restaurant!

Chris Neal What an interesting place to eat! I ordered the PB burger, and really didnt know what to expect. It featured a double smash patty burger with bacon and special sauce with PEANUT BUTTER, sandwiches between a halved glazed donut. What a combination! The meat and bacon hit first on the palate, with a wonderful nutty transition into the peanut flavor, with a sweet donut finish. A truly delightful combination. This restaurant takes risks, and they seem to nail it with unique flavor combinations. Definitely worth a try!

Grace The food is really good, with great flavor and quality in every dish we tried. The restaurant also offers outdoor seating, which is a nice option, especially on a pleasant day. The atmosphere was enjoyable, and everything came out well prepared. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely come back again.

Mr. Davis It’s a small little place that was empty when we showed up. This is kind of surprising with the quality of the food being high. This was my second time here so now I have been able to try each of the tacos they have in the menu. The guacamole was freshly made. You can see them even making the tortillas from scratch. I love when restaurants do this. I don’t go to Yakima much but this place will be a repeat. Our waitress was very polite and attentive. Well worth the money we spent. No it’s not crazy expensive either. Went back last week because the food was great the first time we went here. It was late after the Seahawks game and we were driving back into town. I ordered some of the different Tacos. They were even better than before. Hands down this is the best Mexican restaurant in Yakima. Adding some new photos.

Cindy Pealstrom Mandiles is a little strip mall spot, tucked in between the licensing office and a few other businesses so very understated in its entrance. Once we passed through the door though, everything changed and we were transported into another dimension! A Mexican dimension! We were greeted with genuine hospitality and friendly smile, invited to sit wherever we wanted and immediately given menus and chips and salsa. The place is very clean and colorful with great music playing at the perfect level. We ordered the pork belly appetizer and each got an order of birria tacos. The pork belly was a large portion and good just wish it was sauced or seasoned rather than the honey and hot sauce, but it was rendered perfectly. The birria tacos were some of the best weve had, actually the second best ever! There was plenty of cheese, the consume was rich and packed with flavor and the meat literally melted in our mouth. They were piping hot and stayed hot the entire meal. Well definitely be back, Id love to try so many more things on the menu!
