Taqueria Juquilita - Centralia

Rating: 4.7 /5
Amy Darg Staying in Centralia for 2 days and we’ve hit the Nike store for some shopping therapy. I asked one of the employees where is the best place to eat some authentic Mexican food…5 min and here we are….Taqueria Juquilita. OMG! This is everything that I can say because after some fish tacos…street tacos and a torta…we need to roll off our chairs and crawl home. Who would go to Taco Bell or McDonald’s when you can have REAL FOOD cooked by some amazing Latina ladies. Gracias por la comida senioras!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

JEWEL OF THE NORTH Neighborhood Gastropub - Spokane

Rating: 4.7 /5
Jon Lee I went for a late lunch, and Jewel of the North did not disappoint. The food was good. The Banana Pudding was excellent. I had the chicken sandwich with seasoned fries. I personally loved the fries, but they were heavily seasoned (yummy). The bar area upstairs was small, but cozy. The overall restaurant was in an older converted “residential” building. They had an outdoor fire and Christmas decorations which added to the appeal. Parking was limited, but available on a weekday. They had a cozy fire outside on the outdoor patio area. My visit included great service from a busy bartender. I sat at the small, but cozy bar upstairs. Hannah was friendly and even threw in the occasional small talk with me while rushing to serve another table. Overall great experience.

Mo-Chilli BBQ - Port Townsend

Rating: 4.8 /5
Avant Lard Travel - by Houston Porter Update (2025-12-20): This is our second time and it was as good, if not better than the first time. They were set to be closed for the week of Christmas so we stocked up on brisket, ribs, and sausages, plus sides, for the week. And once they gave us a sample of their special - smoked prime rib - we had to order they too. Everything was amazing, as weve come to expect from Mo-Chilli BBQ. Original review: Legit BBQ and excellent service! My wife and I are certified BBQ judges and in addition to judging BBQ competitions all over the world, always enjoy checking out nice mom and pop places like Mo-Chilli BBQ while we are traveling. A half dozen or so of us stopped in for a late lunch and although they were out of pulled pork, they had brisket, ribs, and sausage, all of which were great. We also had some sides, with the potato salad being the standout. And the menu is great because you can get sandwiches, plates, and even "bowls" with the various meats and sides. My niece and I went for the 5 meat combo, getting double orders of the brisket and ribs and not only was it delicious and filling, but at less than $30, with sides, it was a total bargain. Finally, we had a couple of excellent beers from local Port Townsend Brewing, which went very well with the BBQ. We always appreciate when a place highlights other local businesses, like the local brewery, and were also thrilled to see the owner a couple days later walking around downtown Port Townsend because they helped to confirm that these folks are truly local. And speaking of the owners and staff, they were simply wonderful. We were a large group with a couple of indecisive kids with us so we were not a quick or easy order but the staff was patient, helpful, and welcoming, which definitely elevated the experience a notch or two. We have driven by the last couple times weve been in town and are thrilled that we were finally able to stop in and try Mo-Chilli BBQ for ourselves. We will definitely be back!

Betta Bar and Seaside Grill - Port Townsend

Rating: 4.5 /5
Molly Torres This place has a stellar view and great ambiance. Overlooking Port Townsend bay, it’s a warm and sparkly refuge from the chilly weather. Great menu with lots of unique choices. Enticing cocktail menu and wine list but we were enjoying an alcohol free evening.

Golden Hour Cafe Skagit - Burlington

All of Amy Alexander FINALLYYY made it in to try this cute little café—and let me just say, it’s absolutely ADORABLE! You can feel the love and pride the owner put into creating such a cozy, welcoming space. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the sweetest barista, Natalie, who helped me pick out exactly what my taste buds were craving. Even the owner came out to greet me and asked what I ordered—such a thoughtful touch! I didn’t have time to sit and soak in the vibes since I was running behind, but let’s just say my sandwich was halfway gone before I even pulled out of the parking lot. That’s how good it was! Wishing this business, the owner, and everyone whipping up these amazing treats nothing but abundance and God’s love. Can’t wait to come back and stay a little longer next time
