Cindy Pealstrom Madrone is a very unassuming cute little spot that we almost passed right by! Thank goodness we didnt!
We were greeted by two very lovely ladies and decided to do tastings instead of glasses of wine. She offered to bring them out to the lovely deck and of course we agreed on such a gorgeous day!
We sampled 5 wines, each one unique in flavor and body. All were delicious! The deck is stunning having just been rebuilt after a devastating fire 6 weeks prior.
Service was great, wines were great and the area was great! Well definitely be back!

Lenore Davis We were here for about 5 days for the 4th of July holiday on our boat. They do a great job keeping up with the demands of the hundreds of boaters that come in, and really do accomplish it with a smile. The service was always very friendly and welcoming. We had the donuts on several days, the coffee, the pizza, a few different things at breakfast and then the pork tacos off the lunch menu over the time we were there. All yummy and hit the spot that was needed :)

Amber Severts We ate here a couple years ago and I have been thinking about it ever since. We are finally back and the Salmon Clam Chowder is just as delicious as I remembered. My husband ordered the Cod and we shared the Prawns. My kids got the burgers. Everything was very tasty. And Nick was super friendly and helpful with suggestions for things to do on island. My only complaint is that it’s sooo far away from where I live.

Paula Based on a recommendation from a local, we made a reservation on a Tuesday evening at 6:15. We called and they called us back to verify. We really enjoyed Vinny‘s. The hostess was super sweet and our service from Jesus was wonderful. The calamari was superior and the lasagna was very tasty. We might caution you - if you arrive late - some of their specialties may be gone as we got the last two servings of lasagna and the restaurant I believe was open for a few more hours. Get there early if you want the yummy food!!

Justin Swanson This is our go to hotel in Friday Harbor. Fantastic service, great rooms, and an unbeatable location to walk the town.
Only complaint for the room was the fireplace was a bit finicky to figure out, but that could have been user error.
Generally we walk on the ferry and spend a few days here. No need to bring a car, just enjoy the town and a getaway from driving!

Michael We went there 3 months ago (Jan, 2025). The vegan pizza was great. It was huge and very beautiful when we opened the box. We ordered the biggest size. The vegan cheese was melty and not glue like (such as Daiya cheese). The owner couldnt remember the brand of vegan cheese they used, but it tasted very good and very filling. We had plenty of leftovers. At that time there was only takeout available, no seating. There was only one person working so the wait was a bit long, we just went explore the town more and came back to pick it up.

Ryan Wallace The woman up front was super friendly and greeted everyone with a smile. She looked very busy yet was knocking out all the orders and serving without issue.
The food was wonderful and plentiful. My son described his chicken nugget basket with a “oh my gosh it’s like real chicken!” He also said his nuggets were “bussin’!” (That’s a good thing), and “a wonderland of flavor.” No joke, I’ve never heard him speak so highly of chicken nuggets or possibly anything before.
My mexiburger was also outstanding. They didn’t skimp on toppings at all and there were so many jalapeños on there! The picture doesn’t do it justice. It was definitely a messy burger, but I figure that’s how you know it’s good!
The shake was very good as well, although I don’t think I’d spend $7 on that portion again.
Highly recommended! Thanks for the great lunch!

Philip Kay This was a very busy place at lunch time because its very popular!
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
I got a large Khao Soi and it was so good. Especially on a wet and chilly day. The portion was huge and really filled us up. It wasnt too spicy, so I was glad when they offered extra zing on the side to really make it over the top amazing.
While I didnt order from the lunch buffet, it was very popular with people coming in all the time to pick up a to go box. Maybe next time for me.

Theresa Rivkin First time on the island - was told this was the spot for dinner -shout out to Taylor who made this experience amazing - from charging my phone, to chatting with me and answering all my silly questions about island living.
Food selection was a little light. I had apps two crab cakes and brussels sprouts. Husband had meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Both meals were very tasty. Meatloaf was very tender!
View was beautiful - plenty of wildlife to watch while enjoying your meal.
Photo is a view from right near the restaurant.
