Broken Yolk Cafe - (Near Irvine, CA)

4 /5 Edward Hernandez: Get in early if you want to seat without a weight as this place is extremely popular. The popularity may in part be due to the favor that there arent many alternate places to eat breakfast in Irvine. My biggest complaint is that the photo image of the food on the menu really does not match what you get on your plate. They needed to put a lot more salmon on this toast. Service was very friendly although a bit slow because it was very crowded.

5 /5 Jim C: We really enjoyed eating here for breakfast comfort food, from pancakes to French toast to biscuits, all with a twist to step it up a notch. Our lattes were quite tasty. The servers were super nice. The prices were a bit more than traditional breakfast at, say, a diner, but we thought that it was worth it and would eat here again.

5 /5 Nahal A: It was our first time at Broken Yolk Cafe and we can’t wait to go back! My fiancé and I had the most delicious breakfast, but our server Alicia truly made our day! She was so friendly, energetic, and personable. You can tell she really cares about the patrons and making sure they get the best service. Overall, great atmosphere, amazing food, and wonderful staff! Thank you!

4 /5 Garry Kepes: Very nice servers and waitstaff. The portions are good sized as well as taste. The area is bright, roomy and cheery. Good Irvine location. Parking can be a bit tricky during busy times. Interesting food bar area if you like that. The rancho skillet was good, but a bit too seasoned for me. The moms omelet was good with the fresh blueberry muffins.

5 /5 Alice Lee: I’ve lived in Irvine for a long time, but this was my first time dining at this restaurant. The menu is huge! We came a bit later in the day, so there wasn’t much of a wait. The staff seated us at a cozy window-side booth without us even asking. Our server, Andrea, was absolutely amazing—one of the best I’ve encountered in a long time. She checked in with us at least four or five times to make sure everything was okay and kept refilling our coffee without us having to ask. After we finished eating, she even asked if we wanted to take anything to go. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict, and my partner got the Ranchero Skillet—which I heard is a popular choice and has strong Mexican flavors. The bread and sauce on the Benedict were spot on. A lot of breakfast spots tend to serve bread that’s too hard, but theirs was just right. They were also generous with the spinach inside. This place also has a rewards program, so we’ll definitely be coming back. Andrea was hands down the best server I’ve had this year!
