Bestia - Los Angeles

Rating: 4.5 /5
Casey Purer Picked up my husband and headed straight to Bestia for our late reservation, and the night did not disappoint. They offer valet, but we lucked out and found street parking right in front — already a win in LA. From the moment we sat down, our server was warm, attentive, and paced the meal perfectly. Service truly elevated the whole experience. Drinks • Riesling – crisp, clean, and paired well with seafood. • Seven Faces – a passion-fruit-forward pisco cocktail. Bright, tropical, and so easy to sip. Apps • Bone Marrow – rich, buttery, and a great start. • Scallops – absolutely incredible. Perfectly seared and full of flavor. One of our favorites of the night. Mains • Lobster Squid Ink Spaghetti – good, but probably the least memorable compared to the rest of the meal. • Branzino – standout entrée. Perfectly cooked, beautifully deboned, and just delicious. We skipped dessert since our reservation was at 9pm, but honestly, the savory courses alone made the visit worth it. We can see exactly why Bestia is one of the top-rated spots in LA — the quality, flavors, and service all live up to the hype. We’ll definitely be back to try more!

Pucquio - Oakland

Rating: 4.7 /5
Sammi We made a reservation for a weeknight dinner at Pucquio to celebrate a family birthday, and it was really special. We prefer outdoor seating, so it was nice to have the option, especially accommodating our senior dog. The service was exceptional – Kevin was our server, and we got to meet the owner as well. Kevin was really memorable, going above and beyond us to make us feel welcome and tended to. We started with the cebiche and chicharron, and for mains, we split the lomo saltado, aji de gallina, and adobo de chancho. Everything was super flavorful! My favorites were the cebiche – super bright flavors – and aji de gallina – I could eat that every day. For dessert, we tried their fried dough, which was a bit sour for our taste but super interesting. The menu is pricey, so we would come for special occasions, but we would be so thrilled to enjoy their stellar food and service again.

Andrea Vivar Dessert Review First, let’s talk about the interior—it felt like stepping into a charming Parisian café. From the rich red velvet curtains to the delicate flowers adorning each table, every detail was thoughtfully done. The ambiance was warm and romantic, made even better by the quiet atmosphere. No crowds, no chaos—just a peaceful, intimate experience. Our waiter was incredibly attentive and seated us in a cozy little nook right by a large window. It was the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the vibe. Honestly, it felt like a hidden gem. Now for the desserts: The Pot de Crème (chocolate) was absolutely divine—smooth, rich, and decadent. A must-try. The Napoleon was just okay—visually beautiful, but it didn’t quite deliver the same wow factor. All in all, it is a lovely spot with ambiance and dessert to match. Highly recommend for a quiet evening or romantic date night.

T Y Let me just start by saying our server/mixologist Blake was nothing Short of amazing! He made us feel like family and anticipated our needs. As a seasoned bartender and culinary student the drinks are absolutely on point! My kids loved Blakes mocktails. They also loved the crab macaroni n cheese... I am loved the bmclam chowder and the desserts were outstanding/ to die for. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend if you havent already checked this restaurant out.

Brian Garneau The chorizo and octopus rigatoni special was one of the best dishes Ive ever had. Im thinking positive thoughts that itll make itself into the daily menu. You have to try the squash and burrata appetizers. The staff is amazing.

Ashley Beshears This place was incredible! The had amazing and unique options. The staff was amazing! This was definitely worth my 3 hour drive. The place has a nice vibe. It was quite, but played music. We even sparked up a conversation with the other patrons a few tables down. It was such a good time!
