Genoa Stewart It was our first time coming. Chef Nathan was attentive, hilarious and entertaining aside frim the good being delicious. Our server, Kristy was on it taking care of our needs promptly. We had a very impressive visit. Thank you all!

Our server, Allie (Alessandra), was outstanding! She was so informative, offered recommendations, and drink parings. Our dinner and drinks were delicious, and the overall ambiance was impeccable. We will definitely be coming back & bringing friends and family along! :)

Alex Really enjoyed this place during my stay in Palo Alto, visited multiple times. Great steak, just ask for sauce on the side, it overpowers the meat a little. Fantastic choice if whiskies, including Springbank Cask Strength.

Sharon We stopped by Amador County’s Shenandoah Valley to pick up our wines and were delighted to stumble upon The Taste — such a wonderful surprise! Chef Micha welcomed us with warmth and shared locally foraged end-of-season boletes — firm, rich with umami, and absolutely unforgettable. The venison, perfectly cooked and paired with chanterelles, was autumn on a plate. And the fig cream pie — with silky vanilla pudding, fresh figs, candied pecans, and fig purée — was the perfect sweet finale. Every detail reflected care, creativity, and the beauty of the season.

Louis Katayama First time trying this restaurant and we were so pleasantly surprised. The quality of food and service is not just exceptional for Mammoth but rivals the fine dining experience you would find at a Micheline star restaurant. You can tell how much passion the owner puts into the space and every dish. We enjoyed our dinner so much that the next day we returned just for desert. I could not recommend this place more. Order the crème brûle it is incredible!
