Ristorante Illando - San Diego

BSM Great little traditional Italian spot nestled in Little Italy, San Diego. It was my first time in the city and while exploring the area for dinner, I came across this place through Google reviews — so glad I did. The restaurant is very cute and classic, with a pizza parlour downstairs serving authentic Italian pizza. I had the seafood pasta, which was excellent. The complimentary bread was fresh, and I also ordered the bruschetta, served on a perfectly toasted crouton — delicious. The rosé paired really well with the meal. My server was fantastic — very attentive and helpful, especially when recommending seafood options. Overall, I had a very good experience. Not too busy, very authentic, and quality food. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Little Italy.

Alexandria H Amazing place! Came here 2 days in a row for dinner and breakfast one day. First, the service is impeccable! Everyone is very friendly and attentive to your needs. The first night I had the Hot honey chicken and it was incredible! The next day we came for breakfast. Both my boyfriend and I had the California omelette. I enjoyed mine but he wasn’t so fond of the eggs. Definitely needs seasoning if your from the south! Our last night here I had the NY steak and it was like butter! Melts in your mouth and so smooth. Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed if looking for a romantic spot and the ambiance was great!

Alex Zepka We seated at the bar as the host told us there was nothing left that night. So, yes, it was busy, even on a Tuesday night. We mostly came over because of their cocktails menu and it didnt disappoint. They have a short list of "permanent" and a longer lost of seasonal drinks. We also had dinner. They claim to cook their steaks at 1400 degrees. I tried the NY steak and, yes, it was cooked to perfection, but I was not blown away with the meat quality. I wish they has a hanger steak instead. The brussel sprouts were some of th best we ever had. A little on th sweet side, but still great and the portion was huge. The service was hot and cold. The main bartender was super friendly but the second bartender was a bit clueless and too busy to help us. We were basically left alone for most of the time. Food took a long time to arrive and they got me th wrong sauce for th steak (they corrected it afterwards). Overall, this was a nice place for dinner and drinks, but there are definitely blind spots, particularly in the service.

Kamil English The food was very tasty. I really liked the chicken parm and the pizza were very good. Oh! and I reaaaallllyyyy liked the guacamole! The server was patient and very attentive. It was too loud indoors; it was not easy for me to have a conversation.

Luis Valente Great sushi place! The fish was very fresh and every dish was well prepared. Good sized servings too. There was a bit of a wait on Friday night string 7pm but no more than 20 minutes as the service is quite and the tables turn over pretty quickly. Will definitely come back.
