Phil Santos Blairs was a fantastic find! We caught the tail end of their happy hour, which was an absolute steal with great drinks and a lively vibe. The Radiatori Puttanesca was a bold, flavorful standout, and the Penne Ragu Bolognese was rich and comforting. Would totally recommend this spot.

iheartauroraborealis Wow, just wow! We went for dinner on a Thursday with no reservations and they seated us right away. I would recommend reservations because it was still quite busy. Definitely a dinner spot for business crowds. Our server was top notch, best dining service experience Ive had in quite a while. Our drinks came out quickly - recommend the Tiki Taormina (if you like tropical rum drinks). For dinner we had a New York steak (phenomenon flavor and cooked to perfection - would give Ruths Chris Steakhouse a run for its money) and the Parppadelle alla Norcino Con Pollo (egg pasta with grilled chicken, porcini & champignon mushrooms, and truffle oil, in a grana padano-cream sauce) and I could eat it every night for dinner. I am not a mushroom person, but this was a dish where the mushrooms added to the flavor and the cream sauce was the standout. The grilled chicken was so tasty it made me wonder if it was cooked in butter. Throw in some scrumptious bread and I am ready to go back for dinner now! Thank you for the wonderful evening! Your staff and food truly made it memorable.

Jessica Poteau The food, service, and ambience were amazing. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. I highly recommend EVERYTHING! My absolute favorite was the Oxtail Mac and Cheese Egg rolls…. Mind you I have a dairy allergen and couldn’t resist!

Kari provided impeccable service, enhancing the overall dining experience. The chef salad was particularly noteworthy, with the cherry peppers and pepperoncini adding a delightful zest. Kenneth Zen Toro in Davis is hands down one of the best Japanese spots in town. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and calm --the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy good food, and never feel rushed. The fish is always fresh and the rolls are beautifully made. You can tell they put care into every dish they send out. Their specialty rolls are amazing, but even the basics are done well -- the miso, tempura, and sashimi all hit the spot. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the meal always feels satisfying from start to finish. Service is friendly and attentive without being pushy, which just adds to the overall experience. Whether youre in the mood for sushi, udon, or a comforting combo plate, Zen Toro delivers every time. Highly recommended - definitely a 5-star spot in Davis!!
