Johnnys Burritos of El Centro - El Centro

Rating: 4.1 /5
Fraga Charles (Idaho Family Outdoors) It was one of the most amazingly tasty breakfast burritos ever. Well worth the walk down from the truck stop.

Carls Jr. - Clearlake

Rating: 3.5 /5
Paul Glendinning I cant bring myself to give a fast food place five stars, so my ceiling is four. In recent years, ive moved from J. in the B. to Carls Jr as my first go-to fast food restaurant because it seems Carls has put in the work to improve their menu and their food quality. The store in Clearlake across from the new Starbucks particularly. I like their burgers and the buns seem full and fresh along with plenty of lettuce tomato onion & pickle. It all starts with a good quality bun as the first thing that hits your mouth. But the real proof of the quality is the meat, of course. They moved to a better quality beef and I dont feel sick after eating them like I do at Macs. One hot summer day I walked in and on the counter was a big red bin full of ice and genuine Coco Cola in the glass bottles. It took a bottle opener to open them. Someone remembered how good it used to be and took the time to recreate that feeling. I was surprised at the changes that Carls Jr has made and have had some good meals since I discovered this.

Indiego Tasting House(PLEASE CALL AHEAD IF MORE THAN 5) - Bishop

Mike Troutman Stopped here for the first time after driving by many times. Glad we stopped, got to met the owners and found out the name is a blend on Inyokern and San Diego. This was their two home town merged together. Service was quick and food was outstanding. The owner has one rule. If you act like a “karen” you have to leave. Like watching the cars go by as we sipped our beer and wine and munched on our salsa sampler. We ordered to carnitas on chips and you can tell by the pictures it was as a good as it looked. If you’re headed north out of bishop make sure to stop for some good food. Highly recommend!

Diane Britto Authentic and really good food. Its mostly takeout from my experience but there are a couple of tables and perimeter bar seating. Fast service and friendly employees.

Lao Wang Noodle Bar - Goleta

Rating: 4.2 /5
Riz Nur Saidy Tried Lao Wang Asian Street Food and really liked it. We got the beef sukiyaki bowl and the dry malatang mix. The sukiyaki bowl was simple but packed with flavor — thinly sliced beef, onions, and rice with that perfect balance of savory and slightly sweet. The sauce soaked into the rice nicely, and the portion size was solid. The spring roll on the side added a nice bit of crunch. The dry malatang was loaded with variety — tofu, mushrooms, noodles, broccoli, peanuts, and a good kick of spice. The chili oil gave everything that classic mala heat without being too overpowering, and the textures kept it interesting all the way through. Everything came out fresh, hot, and well-seasoned. The portions are generous and the flavors are bold. Definitely a great spot if you like strong, spicy, street-food-style dishes.

I-5 Cafe and Creamery - Orland

Rating: 4.4 /5
Mike Farrar We have driven past this place for 30 years and finally stopped in. We saw all the pickups with stock trailers so we thought it would be a good spot. The service was great. The food was outstanding. The prices were reasonable. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Its served over Hashbrowns. Just an overall great experience. It will be our new stop when traveling to the bay area.
