Brenna Gutierrez First time, food was perfection! Husband ordered Zach special, I got Roja pooled! Soooooo flavorful and tasty. Tiramisu was so creamy and flavorful as well. Beer was cold, michelada was excellent. Roxy was our server, she was kind, efficient and basically amazing. Atmosphere was super cozy with some great music going in the background. New go to in our new neighborhood. Thank you Roxy!!

Bánh Mì Amour - Visalia

Rating: 4.8 /5
WTF ISthis Worth a try. Decided to stop here on a drive home from work. There was quite a few people here on lunch so I had high expectations since the place was kinda packed. It did not disappoint. I had the special pho. Its a clean Vietnamese broth. The broth was so good I wanted to drink out the bowl. The bowl only comes in one size. It cost about 16$. It was a decent / medium portion size. I liked it except the meatballs wasnt my thing. They were a bit chewy and I didnt like the flavor personally. Also as you can see in the picture I got a small amount of basil and jalapeños. No bean sprouts too they ran out by lunch so kinda disappointed as veggies are my favorite but still overall 4.5/5 for the pho. What saved the day was the banh mi sandwich. Its about 10$ but a big sandwich. I had the charbroiled chicken sandwich. Bomb bomb. The bread was good. All the veggies inside were fresh. The chicken was seasoned good. This was an amazing meal. The servers were polite and cool. It didnt take long to order and be seated. Less than 15 minutes. I would definitely take my family here to eat. Great experience. Ill be back.

Costa Kitchen & Bar - Santa Barbara

Cassie Harriman Omg this place is such a gem!!! We can for a late dinner and it was empty? There’s no reason for it to be. The waitresses are delightful and so friendly! The decor is adorable and so inviting. And the FOOD IS DELICIOUS. Just take a look at the photos. Definitely order the flatbreads, they aren’t actually flat they are more fluffy but I prefer them that way. The salmon was great as well and the arrabiata is delicious if you like spicy!

Bear & The Wren - San Luis Obispo

Rating: 4.7 /5
Derrick Bear & The Wren is a thoughtfully executed, handcrafted pizzeria tucked into downtown San Luis Obispo, offering a focused menu and a clear sense of identity from the moment you walk in. The large wood-fired pizza oven sits front and center, immediately establishing the tone of the space and reinforcing the restaurant’s commitment to craft and simplicity. The menu centers primarily on Detroit-style pizza—square slices with a thick, airy interior and a well-developed, crispy crust. This style is executed with care, striking a balance between indulgence and restraint. I ordered the standard pepperoni and sausage pizza, accompanied by a side of hot honey. The crust was notably fluffy while maintaining crisp edges, particularly where the cheese caramelized against the pan, creating a satisfying texture contrast. The sauce leaned slightly sweet with a tangy finish, complementing rather than overpowering the toppings. The addition of whipped ricotta on top was a smart and restrained choice, helping to bring the flavors together and adding a subtle richness without excess. The hot honey served as an optional enhancement, offering a gentle heat and sweetness that paired well with the savory elements of the pizza. To start, I ordered the Caesar salad, which was equally well considered. It was not over-dressed, allowing the freshness of the greens to come through, and the house-made croutons added both texture and flavor. The salad felt intentional rather than an afterthought, which is not always the case at pizza-focused establishments. Overall, Bear & The Wren delivers a cohesive and satisfying experience. The food is well-executed, the concept is clear, and the attention to detail—from the crust to the accompaniments—reflects a kitchen that understands its strengths. It is a strong addition to the downtown San Luis Obispo dining scene and a worthwhile stop for those seeking a well-crafted take on Detroit-style pizza.

Volpis Ristorante & Bar - Petaluma

Rating: 4.5 /5
E Jones Very short and to the point - Mama Mia❣️ Mangia! Volpi’s is nostalgic. Flavors, smells will transport you to your childhood. Lots of history there too. Sorry I have no photos to share. I was extremely hungry and thirsty. However, I tell you, the Apperal spritz, the old-fashioned, the pasta carbonara, and the lasagna are amazing. When I took a bite into the lasagna, it truly took me back to my childhood dinners with my Nonna, Eliza.
