5 /5 Eunice Miranda: Love this place! The food was delicious! Everything tasted so authentic and full of rich, homemade flavor. The staff was super friendly, and you can tell it’s a small, family-owned spot that takes pride in what they serve. If you’ve never tried Yemeni food, this is the perfect place to start — and if you have, you’ll appreciate how authentic it is. Definitely worth checking out!

4 /5 Sheldon R: Went here with friends on a Saturday around 2:40pm. Not too busy. Service was friendly, but took about 35 mins for my fries, Spicy Potato Xpress Appetizer. I was expecting something more filling with that name. Didn’t know it was simply fries. They were good and spicy. Just didn’t think it was worth that wait. Also it was about $10. The Mango Juice was good. Tasted like mango lassi. They were out of some of their vegetarian options unfortunately. Maybe they were short staffed, but I’d try this place again. The ambiance is relaxing, not too busy, not too noisy. • Spicy Potato Appetizer: 4/5, you’ll need more food than this. Basically just French fries with seasoning, spices. • Mango Juice: 4/5, thicker like mango lassi, pretty sweet.

5 /5 Lani: THIS PLACE IS so so yummy! My boyfriend and I stopped by after seeing the amazing reviews and every dish was so beautifully rich and flavorful. The rice is so deep and a slight citrus taste! The chicken and beef dishes were both so tender and delicious! The Naan bread was definitely so yummy and a favorite for us. The portions are HUGE and generous and everything is fairly priced! We will definitely be returning. Staff was friendly but the wait can sometimes be 20ish minutes, even with the restaurant being a bit empty at the time. Plenty of seating + very spacious.

5 /5 Sendemail VK: Weve been here 3 times in the last 3 months and the food tasted delicious every time. So far we tried the lamb mandi, beef kabodeih, lamb soup, lamb quolaba, and fish mova. They are all delicious, but my favorite one is fish mova. The fish is so fresh that it melts in your mouth. And the seasoning on the fish is not too salty or overpowering. Just perfect. It goes very well with their delicious rice. Their freshly baked bread and sauces are also tasty. Just a warning to those who are sensitive to fragrance. The restaurant has a strong fragrance when you are inside. Not a foul smell but just very strong perfume like fragrance. If it bothers too much, just do take out. Great food, friendly service, and generous portion. Highly recommended!

5 /5 Farshad P: I don’t throw this term around lightly, this is the best Yemeni food you are ever going to have. I’ve had a lot of Yemeni food across the country and none come close to Mandi Xpress in Riverside. The lamb and chicken mandi (huge piece of perfectly cooked lamb, half a juicy chicken on a bed of flavorful rice) for $40 simply cannot be beat. I’d say this is worth it to go out of your way, solely to come to riverside for just to eat here. The lamb is fall of the bone, packed with flavor. The chicken is moist, seasoned well as well. The plate is absolutely massive, nothing is overly salty, dry or under seasoned it is simply as good as you can get. The additional sides like their hummus, babaganoosh and tabouleh are also exceptional. And the sauces really bring everything together. All of this is also complimented by their exceptionally nice staff, in particular the kind lady at the cash register. I am already planning on my next visit here, I promise if you go you will not be disappointed. The location is also super convenient right next to the hike, city center, etc. I cannot say enough good things about the food and experience here!
