Heavenly Smoked BBQ - Madera

Alma Barocio Finally got a chance to try this place out. Im so sad I didnt get to enjoy it sooner, this place truly has the best BBQ locally. We ordered a rib plate and tri-tip plate with a couple of sides. The side servings were a bit on the small side to be honest, not sure if that is their usual serving side as some of the other customers photos on Google show much more generous helpings. Now the BBQ. I personally like my meat cooked medium. The tri tip honestly was well done which normally produces a very tough or dry meat, but they cut the meat into almost deli thin slices so when you bite into it with the onions and BBQ it is remarkably tender. Their BBQ sauce is fresh and you can taste the difference. Now the bbq ribs, they are out of this world. The smoky rich flavor combined with the generous seasoning - Im lucky my husband let me have a bite. 10 out of 10, and I dont say that lightly. Now, just a bit to keep in mind they are only open Fridays and Saturdays until 6pm or until they run out. Its also a bit out of the way. It took me a bit to find the place but if you follow the directions on Google it will take you there. The gentleman that helped me with my order was very friendly. They dont take credit/debit cards so keep in mind you need cash or a venmo/cashapp account to pay.

Marcelo Bermudez We had dinner at Pulcinella Ristorante in Newbury Park last night, the new spot that took over the former Cedros location. It was a great experience from start to finish. The service was excellent. Attentive, warm, and well-paced without being intrusive. You could tell the staff cared about getting things right, which goes a long way. The food was outstanding. I had the mushroom risotto, rich and well-balanced. My wife ordered the veal scaloppini, which was tender and beautifully prepared. Our kids had the chicken piccata and a seafood pasta dish, and both cleaned their plates, which says everything. What stood out to me is that we’re in a relatively sleepy part of Thousand Oaks, where high-quality restaurants aren’t always easy to find. Pulcinella hits the mark. The menu, execution, and overall experience feel intentional and elevated, without being pretentious. We went as a family this time, but we’ll definitely be back for date night. It’s the kind of neighborhood restaurant you want to support because it raises the bar for what dining out here can be. Highly recommend giving it a visit and supporting a local business that’s clearly doing things right.

Andy Kahrs Witness Coffee Roasters nails it on every level. The space itself is beautiful — clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with an inviting layout that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy your coffee instead of rushing out the door. It’s the kind of interior that feels intentional without being pretentious. The coffee is outstanding. Their single-origin offerings are clearly treated with care, and you can taste the quality in every cup. Bright, well-balanced, and expertly brewed — this is legit specialty coffee done right. Huge bonus points for the vegan food options, which are genuinely good and not an afterthought. Thoughtful, flavorful choices that pair perfectly with the coffee and make this a spot you can come back to again and again. Great atmosphere, great coffee, great people. If you care about quality coffee and a well-designed space, Witness is an easy must-visit.

Rick Rodriguez My girlfriend and I were traveling and stayed here for the night after a long drive. We were tired, so instead of ordering out we decided to grab food at the bar. She had the house salad—fresh and delicious—but I have to talk about the California Burger. This burger was incredible… so flavorful and satisfying! Easily one of the best choices we could’ve made after a 12+ hour drive. Huge thanks to the bartender on 8/22/25 for the recommendation—you made the end of a long day absolutely perfect.
