5 /5 Raymond Santiago: Decided to stop in for an early dinner with my wife and had a great dining experience. I reserved a table for dinner through the OpenTable app. After spending the afternoon visiting Carmel by the Sea, we got hungry a bit earlier than expected so I revised my reservation to an earlier time.
Upon arrival to Rosines we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. After being seated, we were welcomed by Sarah, our charming and informative server. She took our drink order and gave us time to peruse the menu. My wife decided on a cup of the minestrone soup and lasagna, and I chose a cup of the clam chowder and calamari steak sandwich. My wife is somewhat of a minestrone soup afficionado and she thoroughly enjoyed her soup saying how tasty, flavorful, and chunky it was, claiming it was the best shes ever had. My clam chowder was equally enjoyable, thick and tasty and full of clams, potatoes, and vegetables.
My wifes lasagna was artfully presented, surrounded by slices of garlic bread. It was delicious and had the right balance of noodles, cheese, and sauce. My calamari steak sandwich was also delicious, evenly breaded and included a buttery toasted bun, fries, and ketchup and tartar sauce on the side. The portions of our entrees were very generous such that neither of us could finish and had to take the rest to go.
Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Rosines. Sarah was very attentive to our needs, answered all of our questions, and promptly refilled our drinks, all while being gracious and welcoming. Well definitely return the next time were in town.
