Shelter Distilling - (Near Mammoth Lakes, CA)

4 /5 Kimberly H: Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is a few of the drinks we wanted to try were out. Otherwise we were able to walk in and get a seat, we were staying near by so lucky enough to walk, not sure how parking would be otherwise, scan a QR code and order your own food. It was pretty easy and straight forward. The food was absolutely amazing and fresh. Good portions as well. Very friendly staff. Clean restaurant. Good atmosphere. Would recommend and return. Good for all party sizes. Lots of couples, but also had a large birthday party:

5 /5 Judy Rivas: It was Taco Tuesday so we ordered $5 tacos and $10 Margarita. We tried pork belly, sweet potato, shrimp, fish, carne asada, and spicy chicken tacos and I have to say the pork belly and spicy chicken were my favorite. All were tasty. The bartender gal even tasted drinks (with a finger on a straw holding some of the drink) before serving. Very friendly staff. The vibe and music were enjoyable. HH is M-Th 2-4 and they offer a few drinks and food items. Looking forward to trying some other things on their menu. Came backs 2nd time!

5 /5 Patricia Brannan: This is the very best place in Mammoth. The food is amazing. Jesus, the bartender, is creative and makes some of the best drinks. Estefania is welcoming and works hard to keep the place running smoothly. Jesus, the manager, is personable and does a great job keeping the food top notch and the drinks way above average. We thoroughly enjoy our stay in Mammoth but our destination is always Shelter. Thanks for a great experience every time we come.

5 /5 Lauren Mehta: The food was really good. While it was busy we were able to find a seat. Ordering is done online through a QR code linked to where you are sitting. Once the food was ordered it was ready in about 10-15 minutes. The cheese curds had a lot of flavor but the marinara sauce it comes with is not warm. I think it would be better if it was warm. The nachos were filling and the different cheeses go well together. These dishes are good to share.

4 /5 Yuval Goldstein: We had a nice late lunch with the gluten free pepperoni pizza, the brisket sandwich and the veggie pizza. The pizzas were legit but a bit small. Overall a good option for a Gluten Free meal.
