Tacos Ocampo - (Near Willows, CA)

R P Upon arrival, we were greeted by wonderful and friendly ladies and were immediately seated in the area I specifically requested. This wasnt my first time here, but I can confidently say it was the best visit yet. The restaurant is absolutely immaculate, clean, and has such a relaxing atmosphere—its beautiful! Every staff member was attentive and friendly. Our server, Daniel J., was superb! He was incredibly attentive, made sure our drinks were always filled, and cleaned the table between courses. He made us feel right at home, almost as if we were having Christmas dinner in our own home. We are "well done" steak people, and he didn’t judge us for that. Lol. The service from Daniel was top-notch! The food was absolutely delicious and on point. We had shrimp wrapped in bacon, onion soup, wedge salad, ribeye, filet mignon, carrots, twice-baked potato, and banana foster. OMG, everything was fantastic! The meat was cooked to perfection, and even though we asked for well done, it was incredibly tender. The filet mignon was like butter! Compliments to the chef for that evening—everything was to die for! The banana foster was the best Ive ever had; it wasnt overly sweet. We opted to skip the tableside show for the banana foster because it was Christmas and the restaurant was getting busy, but next time we will definitely do the show! I was just so impressed with everything! If I could give 10 stars, I absolutely would, and I don’t hand out stars lightly. Thank you for making our Christmas a wonderful experience! We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Nestor Vega The food here is straight up legit. The albóndigas soup is next level rich, comforting, and full of deep flavor. You can tell it’s made with care and not rushed at all. The plates are loaded. Perfect rice and beans, a solid enchilada, and tacos that hit hard. Fresh ingredients, handmade tortillas, and everything seasoned exactly how it should be. Nothing bland, nothing overdone. Great service, chill atmosphere, and the food comes out hot and fresh.

Eric Breakfast burrito - bacon, onion, jalapeno, potato, monterey jack. Perfection. The salsa was pretty mild so it wont overwhelm more sensitive palates. It went well with the burrito above. The onion rings are LEGIT. I would pop in just for an order of those, and I probably will in the future.

Joel Stains I love this place, it’s my favourite Mexican spot in Chico. Their shrimp burrito is my go-to and I love all their food! Their tres-leches is decent. Also, their portion sizes are huge! I had their chile relleno, and it was pretty good too. The soft centre with stuffed melted cheese was a perfect replacement for meat, but totally worth it… delicioso!!!! I love their ambience, the atmosphere is pretty good for any size. Their music is very pleasant, and the best part… it’s not always crowded. Update: I tried their fish tacos recently, and it’s very delicious. Unlike the ones I’ve had before which are usually pan fried fillets, this fish fillet was coated and deep fried, which definitely made a big difference. Imma go back and try more in the following weeks lol. Two of my friends tried their Fajita de carnitas and California burrito, and they enjoyed every bite from their plate. Honestly this is better than any mexican fast-food chains!
