5 /5 Murillo Pontual: I had brunch at Taste and Glory in San Mateo, and it was a great experience. The service was friendly and attentive, and our meals were absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes it perfect for a relaxed weekend brunch. I definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

5 /5 Peter Wu: Arrived around 1pm on a Friday no reservations just walked in. There was 7 tables in front of us we waited maybe 10 minutes then we got sat all of a sudden many people must of left and didn’t cross their name off the wait list. Really nice decoration and cute lighting fixtures. Noise level was perfect noisy enough you can’t hear other tables conversation but not so noisy you can’t hear the person across the table from you without raising your voice. Our server noticed our table was wobbling a little bit and fixed it right away. Great service and very friendly. Drinks were ok might try their Thai ice tea instead next time. Ordered promptly after being seated we knew what we wanted, while we were waiting to be seated. Has the basil ribeye and the crab cake Benedict and a creme brûlée French toast for dessert. Drinks came out right away within 3 minutes and food was pretty fast both the ribeye and crab cakes Benedict came out within 10 minutes or so. Ribeye is cooked to medium dont think you can change the doneness but it was very delicious. The rice as very fragrant and perfect sunny side up egg. Crab cake Benedict with a sriracha chipotle hollandaise sauce was tasty nice and crispy crab cake and not too fishy taste or smell. Definitely would ordered these 2 again. French toast we ordered right before last call it wasn’t that good. Just a thick pastry creme type sauce slathered on subpar French toast with some sugar brûlée on top. 5 /5 Anthony Giang: It was a beautiful Monday morning. With time to spare, I headed to Taste and Glory for a fun little brunch vibe before class. My partner and I ordered the Blue Butterfly Lychee drink, the Thai Tea French Toast and the Tom Yum scramble. I thought everything tasted fantastic. The drink came out first, and though it was really strong in flavor, after diluting it a bit, it was perfect. It was also a lot more purple than blue but that didn’t take away from flavor. The Thai Tea French Toast’s Thai Tea sauce was perfect. It had a really strong Thai Tea flavor and the texture of the french toast was nice and soft/fluffy. However they did garnish with a piece of parsley, which I absolutely despise (like fr, why garnish a sweet dish with a very savory herb instead of something like mint). Anyways, the Tom Yum scramble was really great as well. For $30 I was scared that it wouldn’t be worth it, but the portion is actually really large and there is so much crab in it, I see why it is priced that way. Overall, I really enjoyed every aspect of this place. From the food to the ambiance and the service, everything was great and I can see why this place is so hyped/crowded. Update: Taste and Glory is hands down one of my favorite brunch places in the bay area. This time around, my partner and I ordered a more basic omelet as well as the crab cake eggs benedict and the thai tea. Both of the food items were delicious and cooked really well. They are plated well and really feel complete. In addition, the drinks are always so good here and have so much flavor. The thai tea was actually very tea forward and not too creamy. Food here and service here are both 10/10. I really appreciate all of their attention to detail here.

I visited on a weekday with my kids, and despite the place being quite full, we were seated quickly and warmly welcomed. We placed our orders right away—and everything was simply delicious. My daughter chose the crème brûlée French toast, which was absolutely heavenly. It had a rich crème brûlée filling and melted in the mouth. My son went for the grilled chicken breast sandwich, served with perfectly salted, crispy fries—also a hit. I ordered the mixed greens salad with berries, feta, and walnuts, complemented with a uniquely flavorful raspberry dressing. Every bite was fresh, crunchy, and full of bright, balanced flavors. The presentation of each dish was beautiful, and the service was impeccable—efficient and attentive, especially impressive given the busy atmosphere. Another plus: there’s convenient one-hour parking just behind the row of restaurants and shops, which makes the experience even smoother. **Overall, a five-star experience. Highly recommended!**
