The Biscuit Basket - Modesto

Rating: 4.6 /5
Teri Wittick WOW, what a wonderful stop in the heart of Modesto! We drove 2 hours to furniture shop, and stopped here for a bite. The homemade biscuits, soups, and salad dressings are delicious! They also make cinnamon rolls and you can purchase and have them wrapped to go as a gift. Love this fun, friendly atmosphere, everything they do has attention to detail. As a vegan, they accommodated us with a smile. We will be back.

Roberto Madrigal Been eating there for years. Always have a good meal and leftovers that I gladly eat the next day. This past week dropped by to have a very tasty Caesar Grilled Chicken Salad and the Barbecue Chicken Pizza that was delicious. Even the lemonade was good. Have had the lasagna before and I recommend it.

Adrianne James Datiles My wife and I were visiting the area, and being a Filipino-American couple were excited to find a restaurant serving Filipino food! We ordered the lumpia and Kare Kare. We were very happy with the lumpia, they were smaller in size than what we are used to but the sauce was delicious and flavors were amazing! The Kare Kare on the other hand was milder in flavor compared to other Kare Kare that I have had in the past. However, the eggplant was cooked beautifully and my wife enjoyed the vegetables The service was excellent given that there was only one server helping out at least eight different tables. Finally, the bathroom was clean however it seemed to be a work in progress. Overall, I would still like to visit again and try some of their other dishes. Next time I’m in the area. And I do think that based off of what we’ve tasted so far, it is a good introduction to Filipino cuisine.

Kim Lu Lawe We were in the area, so we did a search of good restaurants nearby. This popped up as 4.8 stars so we decided to try it. At first, we were skeptical because for noon on a Sunday, it was empty. Nonetheless, we went in. Ordered a chimichanga and albondigas soup. Then more and more customers started coming in and getting seated. BEST albondigas soup I’ve ever had, and I order them often when I eat at Mexican restaurants. The fried chimichanga was delicious, too. Service was quick, attentive & pleasant. Highly recommend this place.

Sascha Arnold We got the hot and sour soup and teriyaki chicken pho. Very generous portions, delicious, flavorful and reasonably priced. I liked the self served kisko to order.
