Joan Stockholm This place is a real treasure! It was so nice to be out in the fresh air and sun! Its noisy because of all the truck traffic but it really didnt bother us. Check out their menu!! Lots of yummy things! My husband had Eggs Benedict - he said they were the best hes ever had! I had clam chowder and fruit salad and got a cranberry scone for later. Clam Chowder was the best Ive had too! The staff was super friendly too.

Richard Katz This was the best restaurant meal I have ever had. No kidding. Im seventy seven years old and Ive eaten a lot of restaurant meals all over the world. Today I went riding around town at lunchtime thinking I would really like to sink my teeth into a couple of good tamales. I drove past Masa right here in my home neighborhood of POint Richmond; Masa makes a righteous tamale, no doubt about that. But I wanted to explore; I wanted to go find something new and special. I motorcycled over to 23rd street, went past restaurants and taco trucks, all of them known to be good. I went up and down 22nd and 23rd street, thinking that what I really wanted was tamales from a mercado like I used to get in the Mission at the front of the food stores, inexpensive and delicious and really fresh. Then I decided to head down MacDonald for no good reason and BOOM! right there where there used to be a place called the Garage, theres a new restaurant Richmond Eats. They had a sandwich board out front that said "3 Tamales $10" but only on Saturday and Sunday, and this was Tuesday. I parked the bike and went inside and sure enough they would cook me up some pork tamales, three for ten bucks. Im not going to try and tell you how good they are. You gotta go buy them for yourself and your kids and eat them blazing hot fresh from the kitchen. Dont take my word for it, just go. On my way out the woman at the counter told me "Those are Salvadorean tamales." Nothing wrong with Mexican tamales, no sir, nothing at all, no no no. But you gotta check out Richmond Eats. Salvadorean and Mexican. And man, this restaurant is so clean it SPARKLES.

I think they should stay open later 730 is too early to close there was a little bit of a crowd at 6 PM

Greg Laughlin Stopped by this restaurant for lunch. It was good but I’ve had better. At least the service was good and the dining area was clean. CASH is the preferred form of payment. There is an ATM in the establishment or one can retrieve cash at the 7-11 across the street.

Ali Alqublani Tried this local Salvadoran spot in Richmond and really enjoyed it. I ordered two beef tacos and an authentic Salvadoran-style horchata, and everything was on point. The tacos were flavorful, well-seasoned, and made fresh, and the horchata tasted homemade—not overly sweet and very refreshing. You can tell this is a family-run place that cares about the quality of their food. Always happy to support local businesses like this. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Life If you’re looking for a great spot to grab Chinese food in Richmond, V8 Kitchen on Macdonald Ave is definitely worth checking out. My wife and I found this place on Google Maps while looking for something new to try—and we’re glad we did! The photos and menu looked promising, and we were in the mood for a good lunch date. As soon as we walked in, the lady who took our order greeted us with a warm welcome and helped us feel right at home. She was quick, polite, and made the whole experience feel personal. The place had a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, perfect for a casual and relaxing couple’s lunch. The food? Excellent. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. You can tell they put care into their dishes, and it shows in the taste. The prices were also really fair for the quality and portion size. All around, this was a great little food adventure for us. If youre local or just passing through Richmond and want good Chinese food with kind service and a calm vibe, V8 Kitchen is a nice choice.

Andrew Clinard As a gigging musician (The Real John Gary) you cannot beat this spot. Incredibly family-friendly and dog friendly. Best fish-n-chips in the bay. Always a friendly crowd and friendly staff. Oh, yea, and the view. Come out on Friday/Saturday/Sunday for great live music. Thanks for supporting local musicians!
