5 /5 Patrícia Hernandez: Walking into Aki E felt less like walking into a restaurant and more like walking into a cousin’s house on a Sunday. The decor with the Dominican colors, drum, and hat lamps instantly made me feel at home, and the staff treated me like family from the moment I sat down – warm, patient, and genuinely friendly, not forced. I ordered a classic Dominican plate: seasoned beef sautéed with peppers and onions, white rice, stewed beans, salad, and a side of tostones with a cold drink. Everything tasted exactly like something my grandmother would serve – well-seasoned, not greasy, and full of real, homemade flavor. The beef was tender and perfectly browned, the peppers and onions still had a little bite, the rice was fluffy, and the beans were that comforting, slow-cooked kind you can tell didn’t come from a can. Even the simple salad was fresh and bright and balanced the plate. Portions were generous, prices were fair, and I never felt rushed. The whole experience – from the food to the music to how the staff checked on me – felt like sitting at the table with family, not just being another customer. If you’re craving real Dominican home cooking and a place where you’re treated like you belong, Akie in Hollywood is it. I’ll definitely be back.

5 /5 Melanie Corrales: Was looking for something to eat on the block and stumbled upon Aki E, was expecting to order breakfast but they stop that at 11am. Our server recommended the mofongo with shrimp and the daily special of sancocho. We were very impressed by the presentation and overall the flavor. Both dishes were beyond our expectations and bursting with flavor. 10/10 recommend

The consistency in really great food and service over such a large span of time is extremely hard to find nowadays. Aki E was my first ever experience with Dominican food lamps two years ago and each time I’m back here in Hollywood I make it a point stop here when I arrive. I’ve had the pollo guisado, sancocho, chicken empanadas, the skirt steak and mofongo all great great options. tonight was the first time i saw other groups in here with me and they all enjoyed as well a seafood stew or dish I believe. I’m so surprised this place isn’t packed out regularly. Really well seasoned food, great service and at a great price point.

5 /5 Felicia Powell: 10/10 would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good, wholesome meal. The food is freshly made to order. The portion size is perfect. The presentation felt like you were on the island. The waitress did not speak English, but she was very sweet and made every effort to assist. I had my Dominican and Puerto Rican bestie with me, so I was good. The menus were written in English/Spanish. Regarding the food options, everything sounded yummy. Drinks were good, with both non-alcoholic and alcoholic options. The main course is shareable. The feel of the restaurant was cozy and clean. I would definitely recommend and come back again.

5 /5 Lorenzo Castano: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Easily one of the best Dominican restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, the staff treated me like family. They literally walked me through the back, made sure I was taken care of, and gave me 5/5 service the entire time. They even let me take over the music in the restaurant where else do you get hospitality like that?! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The tostones were crispy, the chicharrón and fried cheese were on point, and every single bite tasted like it came straight from someone’s Dominican grandma’s kitchen. The whole plate was stacked and everything was hot, seasoned right, and made with love. If you want authentic Dominican food with next level service and a vibe that makes you feel at home, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
