Aritt Davis One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to! The selection of food was second to none and I’ve never seen as many Mexican seafood dishes on any menu. Our beautiful (inside and out) waitress was so accommodating and offered up her personal favorites. I decided to go with one of Amarely’s recommendations of Aguachile which is similar to Ceviche which I absolutely love! The Aguachile was even better! This will be a mandatory stop for us as we travel from MS to south Florida. Oh, and the margaritas were absolutely superb!! Best we had in weeks! Ultimately it was a 10/10 but Amarely took the experience over the top! I highly recommend you make it a stop

Bruce McLaughlin From the street and as you step into the restaurant, the atmosphere is dated. So why the four star rating on atmosphere? This is a family restaurant spanning multi-generations and when it first opened the atmosphere was quite inviting at the time. The food is authentic, plentiful and served by family members. When you factor in the authenticity paired with a true family run restaurant, the atmosphere really needs no explanation. I am not a regular customer, but I have been several times over the course of almost 40 years and it is as wonderful today as it was the first time I stepped through their front door. Warm and inviting, Mario invite you into their family kitchen for homestyle Italian food with genuine, gracious hospitality.

John Hornick Chef’s Apprentice Category: Not-just-Spanish Tapas. The long bar curves like a meandering stream, facing a towering liquor cabinet with stained glass doors. Frida Kahlo-ish paintings (but happier — I like them more than Kahlo) populate the earth-tone faux-painted walls. The open front windows blend the inside dining room with the outdoor umbrellaed patio. Multi-toned wooden plank floors and hightop wood-plank wooden tables and chairs with the color of dark honey complete the festive atmosphere. Because it’s a tapas place I expected Spanish but found a selection of well-executed small plates, the cuisine of which pretty much spans the globe. Everything was good, as was the service. We especially liked the saganaki, which was flamed tableside. Discounted drinks and tapas are offered during the two happy hours, 3-6p and 11p to 1 am for night owls.
mcguires irish pub

McGuires Irish Pub - Pensacola

Joji Yoshida McGuires Irish Pub was one of the very first restaurant we were recommended after relocating from Hawaii. From the outside it doesnt look very large. As we entered it seemed as though we entered a labyrinth. The interior was a bit darkly lit. It was a weekday but the place was packed to the maximum with customers. We were seated and quickly perused through the extensive menu. The food came out quickly and hot. The loaded potato skins was amazing. The burger was juicy and delicious. The service was impeccable to say the least. We spent some time at the gift shop to purchase some merchandise before we headed back home. Aloha and mahalo for the Southern hospitality. Well be back soon to try the other delicacies.
