Las Carretas Mexican Restaurant Gainesville - (Near Gainesville, FL)

5 /5 Ap V: There’s a large amount of seating in this multilevel restaurant with very festive music and atmosphere. The drinks are huge. You have to try one of the margaritas. The salsa bar is great because everyone can tailor their meal to their own taste. The food was delicious, including the Pollo Acapulco and the shrimp and chicken fajitas. Service was a four star not a five star, but I think it’s because our waitress was just overwhelmed with the number of people in the restaurant. Still highly recommend!

4 /5 Jewels: It gets very crowded and the servers sometimes don’t listen to special requests like no cheese. Very big portions for good prices. Otherwise pretty decent place. Our server Cecilia was really good though and very kind. 8/10 or 4/5

5 /5 ELIZABETH Stonesifer: Birria tacos were a little dry but overall a great experience! And the mangonada drink was amazing! Will definitely be coming back again. Also our server Daniela was very attentive.

5 /5 Juan Marcano: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stopped in Gainesville on our way down to Miami and decided to try Las Carretas after reading the reviews. Every single one of them was true. This is hands down some of the best Mexican food we have ever had. The flavors were outstanding, everything tasted fresh and authentic, and the portions were generous. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The manager even came by our table twice to check on us, which really shows how much they care about their guests. Nolvi was the best!! If you are anywhere near Gainesville, this place is absolutely worth the stop. We will definitely be back.

5 /5 Solange V De La Vega: Wow. Amazing vibes, food, and service. Our server was Yon and he was so nice telling us about all the deals and explaining menu items. Genuinely such a good bang for your buck and one of the best Hispanic places in Gainesville (lord knows there aren’t a lot). Also the entertainment was so fun!! We danced and sung such an amazing atmosphere.
