C Michael Harrer As a DJ of 34 years, I’ve had the privilege of performing at countless venues — and I’m thrilled to now be hosting Sunday Karaoke at Salty D’s Beachside here in Ormond Beach. After my first night, I can confidently say this place is something special!
The setup for entertainment is fantastic, but what really stood out to me was the staff. Ocean, Jay, and Matt were hustling behind the bar serving drinks all night, yet still made time to ensure I had everything I needed for a successful show. That level of teamwork goes a long way.
And then there’s Dee — the owner and the heartbeat of the place. Her energy is contagious! She’s fun, positive, and truly hands-on. Even with a full staff, she jumped behind the bar, helped in the kitchen, and supported her team every step of the way. The smiles on everyone’s faces said it all.
Important Note: I’m not writing this just because I’m working here. There are hundreds of venues across the Daytona area where DJs can perform, and I rarely post reviews. But Salty D’s and Dee made me feel welcome from the very first moment — it just felt right.
